Hikaru Pov:

The moment Hikaru heard about the tournament, he could feel the excitement bubbling up. TYou see, he had been scouted to fight in a tournament against some very powerful bladers just a day before. This was the kind of opportunity he'd been training for his whole life—the chance to make his mark and join one of the elite Beyblade teams. But later, as he talked about the competition with Suisei, he couldn't ignore the conflict brewing inside him. The tournament was scheduled on the same day as her ballet performance. She'd worked tirelessly for it, pouring herself into rehearsals with the same dedication she put into Beyblade.

"You have to go," she'd said that night, smiling softly. "This is your dream, Hikaru. I'll be fine—you've got this."

There was something in her eyes, though, a flicker of sadness she tried to hide. He could see it even if she wouldn't admit it. That look stayed with him, lingering in his thoughts long after they parted ways. She wanted him to go, and he should have been thrilled. But instead, a strange weight settled over him, heavy and insistent.

The next morning, he found himself standing at a crossroads. His gear was ready, his name registered, and his chance awaited him. But he couldn't ignore the feeling pulling him in a different direction. Before he could overthink it, he made his decision. Throwing on his jacket, he hurried to the ballet studio, where Suisei would be warming up.

When he arrived, he spotted her instantly. She was already moving through her stretches, her body moving with a natural grace he'd seen countless times in battle but that somehow felt more profound now. She looked up, her expression shifting from surprise to confusion.

"Hikaru?" She stared at him, wide-eyed. "Aren't you supposed to be at the tournament?"

He gave her a small, lopsided smile, scratching the back of his neck. "Yeah, but I wanted to be here instead. You've been there for me through everything. It's my turn."

Suisei's eyes softened, and he could see the gratitude there, though her smile was shy, touched with a vulnerability he wasn't used to. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely a breath, but it carried something powerful, something that settled into his chest and made him feel lighter.

The hours they spent together backstage were unlike anything he'd felt before. He helped with her warm-ups, watching as she shifted from pose to pose with an elegance he could only admire. There was a quiet intensity in her movements, a focus he recognized from their Beyblade battles but that felt somehow more personal now. He could see how much this performance meant to her, how she poured herself into every movement.

As the curtains rose, he held his breath, mesmerized. Under the spotlight, she seemed to transform, her every step filled with purpose and passion. She moved like a force of nature, commanding the stage with a confidence that left him in awe. It reminded him why he'd come, why he'd chosen to be here with her.

By the time the performance ended, his chest felt full, his admiration for her deepening into something he was only beginning to understand. Watching her bow, he realized he'd made the right choice. Suisei was worth it—more than any title or victory. He knew that now.

Suisei Pov:

The night of the performance felt like a dream, her heart still swelling with the thrill of it all. But as much as the applause echoed in her ears, it was Hikaru's presence that lingered most in her mind. The way he'd shown up unexpectedly, choosing to support her rather than chase his own dreams, had meant more than words could express. She'd always known him as a friend, a fierce rival, and someone she could rely on. But this was different. Something had changed, deepened.
