Chapter 4

Hikaru Pov:

As they approached Suisei's house—a cozy little motel tucked away on a quiet street—Hikaru felt a mix of relief and warmth. They had successfully evaded her fans, and the adrenaline of the chase was still fresh in his mind. Suisei turned to face them, her expression shifting to one of playful curiosity.

"Hey, can I ask you guys something?" she said, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Are we friends now?"

Hikaru felt a rush of warmth at her question, his heart pounding. He exchanged a quick glance with Hyuga, who nodded encouragingly. "Of course!" Hikaru replied, trying to keep his voice steady. "I'd like that."

"Me too!" Hyuga chimed in, his usual exuberance shining through.

Suisei beamed at their responses, a joyful light illuminating her features. "Great! I'm really glad," she said, and before either of them could react, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Hikaru first, pulling him into a tight embrace. He was taken aback, feeling the softness of her hair brush against his cheek as he instinctively returned the hug. A flurry of butterflies erupted in his stomach, and he could feel himself blushing furiously.

"Thanks for being such great friends!" she said, releasing him and stepping back.

Then she turned to Hyuga, who was grinning from ear to ear. Suisei hugged him just as warmly, and Hikaru watched as his brother laughed, clearly enjoying the moment.

As Suisei stepped back, she waved joyfully, her pink hair swaying with the motion. "I'll see you guys tomorrow! Can't wait to train more!"

With that, she hurried inside the motel, her laughter echoing softly as the door clicked shut.

Hikaru stood frozen for a moment, his heart still racing. "Did that really just happen?" he muttered, still feeling the lingering warmth from Suisei's embrace.

"Totally! I can't believe we're friends now!" Hyuga exclaimed, practically bouncing on his heels. "She's awesome, isn't she?"

Hikaru nodded slowly, still processing the moment. "Yeah, she is..." he said, his voice trailing off. Despite his initial fluster, a smile crept onto his face. There was something about Suisei that felt refreshing, like a breath of fresh air in his life. He couldn't shake the feeling that this was just the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

As they walked away from the motel, Hyuga continued to chatter animatedly about their training plans and the possibility of teaming up with Suisei in the future. Hikaru listened with half an ear, his thoughts still drifting back to Suisei's smile and the warmth of her hug. It was a small moment, but it felt significant—a step into a friendship that could blossom into something more.

Suisei Pov:

Three weeks had passed since Suisei joined the Comet Bey Club, and she found herself lost in thoughts more often than not. Sitting in class, she stared blankly at the whiteboard, her mind drifting away to memories of training sessions filled with laughter, friendly banter, and exhilarating battles. The vibrant energy of the Bey Club had completely captivated her, and she couldn't help but daydream about her teammates—especially Hikaru and Hyuga.

"Suisei, you're zoning out again!" a voice jolted her back to reality. She turned to see her friend, Aiko, sitting beside her with a teasing grin.

"Sorry! I was just thinking about the Bey Club," Suisei admitted sheepishly, her cheeks flushing slightly.

Aiko raised an eyebrow, her expression shifting from playful to curious. "You've been doing that a lot lately. What's so special about it?"

Suisei hesitated for a moment, then replied, "It's just... I don't know. The people, the training, the excitement of it all. It feels like I belong there."
