Beyond the Friendship line [Pt.4]

It had been a week since Mia came to the scene, and from then, kook started to get silent. The bunny who used to stick to his taetae hyungie is now only able to get close to his hyungie when Tae comes to pick him up for college.
Kook is getting insecure now because he can see the love Tae's eyes hold for Mia.
Tae now often forgets to pick koo from class during lunch break. Koo used to sit in the classroom looking at the door hoping that his hyungi would come to take him to canteen. 

"Common kook, you can come yourself also, right? And Mia wanted to learn some basketball tricks for her upcoming event. That's why I got engaged." ....kook got this response from Tae when he asked during the car ride to his apartment why he didn't come to pick Koo up.

Now you have started to call me kook taetae hyungie? No more bunny? 

Kook now realized the fact that Taehyung would never look at him the way he looked at Mia. he didn't say anything, just quietly sat there.

On reaching the apartment, a naive side of Kook thought that if he would also learn to play basketball, then his taehyungie would also like him.

That evening kook left his apartment with a smile on his face and determination in his heart that he'll also become competent for his taetae hyungie.
Kook went to the basketball court, took one basketball, and started to target the basket. But even after a lot of tries, he can't even put one ball in the basket.

What can you expect from a boy who never participated in a 100m race?
He's always a soft boy, never interested in sports.

While trying, he went a little closer to the basket and started to jump high so that he could put the ball in the basket. But to his luck, when his foot touched the ground, it got twisted badly, and he fell hard on the wooden floor. he cried out loudly.

"Aaaahhhhh hyungieeeee"

His right foot was paining too much. He didn't know what to do, he was not able to move an inch.
After 30-40 minutes of crying, he tried to reach for his bag that was lying on the floor a bit far away. He somehow dragged his body towards his bag while crying heavily.
The pain was too much for the sensitive baby.
He turned on his phone and dialled his taetae hyungie.
Tae didn't pick up the phone on the first try, it was something new, because Tae used to pick up Kook's phone in one ring only. Kook tried again and again, and after 4 tries tae picked up the call and almost yelled at Kook,

"WHAT kook, it's 10.30 at night, you didn't sleep till now, I'm not going to wait for you in the morning if you throw tantrum in waking up."

kook wanted to cut the call then and there but the pain in foot was killing him.

Tae was not in a good mood because he wanted to hang out with Mia tomorrow, but she said that she had special basketball training, which she could not ditch. He was avoiding Kook's call because he didn't want to vent his anger on Kook. But Koo was repeatedly calling, and this angered him more, and he shouted at Koo.

In a trembling voice, he said, "T-tae t-tae hyungie, l-listen t-to me p-plz"

Hearing Kook's vulnerable voice, Tae's heart softened a little,he asked,
"What happened, bunny? Why are you crying? Did you have a nightmare? Wait I'm coming to your house."

Saying that tae started to wear his shirt.

"i-i'm not in my h-house h-hyungie"

Tae abruptly stopped his actions on hearing this.

"not in your house then where are you this late? It's almost midnight, Jungkook"

Kook didn't want to hear any harsh words from Tae, so he just asked him to come to the university basketball court and cut the call.
