arendale and logan walked around cape town without a particular destination in mind. her parents also went exploring together, but had returned back to the hotel soon after they left and her mother underestimated how cold the wind was. however, after coming out of their hotel room, they spotted yuki waiting for the elevator and impulsively decided on asking him if he wanted to join them - not wanting to say no and leave a bad impression on them, yuki agreed.

"you really need to stop worrying" logan said as arendale stared at her phone, completely ignoring how fast the ice cream in her cup is melting at

"what if -" logan cut her off instantly

"gigi, yuki is insane about you. scarily so, you'll be fine" he took her phone away which made arendale pout, but she soon shifted to her now melted ice cream

"want it?" logan screwed his face up

"i will never eat that abomination"

"you're an abomination!"

"it's basically melted toothpaste!"

"is not! you just don't brush your teeth enough, that's why"

"fuck off, i do too!"

"do not!"

logan wasn't planning on arguing with arendale, but he'll make the fight last long enough for her to not be so worried about what could happen during the few hours yuki is alone with her parents.

"oh, sweetheart, you missed a spot" her mother commented before grabbing a tissue from her purse and reaching out to wipe his face

"thank you" yuki bowed his head, but her mother just brushed it off

"ellianna - arendale's sister - use to be such a messy child. her son takes after her in that" she sighed gently making yuki tilt his head

"do you not see her a lot?"

"no, when we moved to australia she was already at college and living in the dorms. she comes around for our birthday's and we travel for hers and our grandkids, but that's about it" yuki silently nodded along

"honestly, i don't know why he takes so long" she clicked her tongue while looking down at her watch

"stomach troubles?" yuki suggested, but she just laughed

"he always takes forever, even when we're at home. it's why gigi bought us a house with two bathrooms"

that nickname.

yuki has always wondered where it came from, but never felt like asking logan.

"why do you call her gigi?"

"oh, it's from her middle name, ginny"

ginny?

"she's never really liked her names, said that they're too uncommon unlike the other kids she's around" she took a sip of water before continuing again, "is yuki a common name?"

"it can be" she hummed at that

their conversation soon took a turn when she asked about his relationship with arendale.

"friends?" she raised an eyebrow at his tone

"she's never dated anyone" her mother stated while glancing behind him, "too occupied with netball. she didn't really have any friends either" yuki jumped at seeing arendale's father suddenly appear beside him before sitting down next to her mother

"what are we talking about?"

"our daughter's lack of friends" her father chuckled in amusement

"she preferred staying home or practicing her shooting. ellianna was always out with her friends or boyfriend, do you have siblings?"
