The next morning, when I woke up, I felt so energized and rejuvinated. I felt so alive.
Sarah was still asleep beside me. She looked so cute. I slowly got out of bed, careful not to wake her. I then went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Then, I took a bath. After that, I put on a tight yellow shirt, some skinny jeans and some brown loafers. I then tried to blow dry my hair and tame it, but it was still as messy as ever. I didn't wanna use wax today, so I just left it like that.
When I went out, Sarah was already up and awake. She was reading something on her phone. I went over and gave her a hug. She returned it and stood to go to the bathroom.
I decided to just lie down on the bed and read a book from Wattpad. After a few minutes, Sarah came out from the bathroom. Its been about four days since we left America. Unbelievable, right?
"Sarah, where do you think my parents are gonna bring us today?" I asked
"I don't know. Maybe somewhere awesome. I mean, we did most of the extreme outdoor activities yesterday right?" Sarah said
"Well, my parents' definition of "awesome" isn't really fun" I said
"Well, maybe its gonna be different this time. Maybe we're gonna go visiting tourist attractions and stuff" Sarah said
"I hope so" I replied
Later that afternoon, Winston, Cathy, Sarah and I met my parents at the cafe across the street from the resort. The streets of the Philippines were neat and clean; first observation. Even if there were a few bottles here and there and the paint of the road was somewhat faded, it looked like it served a good home for the Filipinos.
When we pushed open the door, the wonderful smell of coffee beans and whatever makes a cafe smell good hit me. It smelled really good. My parents were sitting in a private room, and they were drinking two very different drinks. My dad was drinking coffee, while my mom was drinking a very delicious looking strawberry smoothie.
I told Winston and Cathy to go and sit with my parents while Sarah and I got the drinks. I got a strawberry-mango shake while Sarah got a cappuccino. We got Winston and Cathy two milkshakes. When we arrived at the spot where my parents were sitting, it seemed as if they were having a serious conversation.
"-ere to next, sir?" Winston asked
"We're going to- hey!" My dad said as he noticed me and patted me on the back. Sarah and I awkwardly took two seats from the neighboring table, placed them in front of our table and took our seats. We chatted with my parents about business, the latest status of our company, etc.
"Where are we going next, dad?" I asked
"We're going to the nearby island Negros, or more specifically, Bacolod!" He said happily
"Is it nice there, sir?" Sarah asked
"First of all, Sarah, don't call me sir. Just call me Lucas. And, yes, it is nice there" My dad said
So, after that, we went back to the hotel to prepare. On the way to our underwater suite, Sarah noticed something awfully large outside the glass.
"Jimmy, why is there a whale shark there?" She asked
"Oh yeah, aren't they supposed to be in Oslob?" I said
"Isn't it kinda dangerous to have a whale shark near us when we just have glass as a barrier between?"
"I'm pretty sure that that glass is really tough. I mean, I don't think my dad would allow weak glass for the underwater suites" I said
"Well, we better hurry in packing then" she said
So, we went into the room and got some of the free shampoo and soap, some of the free Italian cologne, one towel from Germany, and our personal belongings. Then, I got my comb and combed my hair in a wavy way. Luckily, my hair followed suit. It follows even without the use of wax and/or gel, which is nice for me.
Anyways, after we packed our stuff, we got our luggages and went out of the room. Sarah's luggages were just a small shoulder bag and a Samsonite trolley bag, while mine were a backpack, and, well, a backpack.
We met my parents in the lobby of the hotel. My parents then went to the counter to check us out while we sat in the lobby of the hotel. After about five minutes of playing with my phone, my parents arrived and told us that we should leave for the airport.
When we entered the hotel van, I rode shotgun while everyone else was in the passenger carriage. The sun was shining so brightly on the dry road, it seemed to make the road look a heck of a lot drier than it already was. It was hot, so we put the AC in full boost and wore our shades to keep out eyes from hurting.
On the way, we passed lots of trees and the land seemed so healthy. When we finally got to the bridge, which was the new bridge according to the driver, we were amazed by the view that overlooked the sea. There were boats and people swimming around happily, but the best part of the view was the endless stretch of water. The sun was shining brightly on the water just like it was shining brightly on the road, but this time, instead of making it seem dry, it made the water look more beautiful. Sparkling, even. When we finally crossed the bridge, I saw a billboard of Ariana Grande endorsing Timex, one more of a Filipino artist endorsing ice cream (Magnolia, I think), and another one endorsing the airport.
When we reached the airport checkpoint, kind policemen in blue greeted us with a smile. After checking our car, they let us through.
We finally reached the airport departure terminal after a few minutes. We unloaded our stuff and went into the airport. We went through the private section, and after the check in process, we were greeted by a Lincoln SUV to bring us to the private jet.
When we entered the 16 seater, we felt cool air and mist greet us. We each took our respective seats as the plane started to move. After a few minutes of asking for clearance, the pilot was finally able to lift us off.
When I looked at Cebu from the windows of the plane, it looked so beautiful. Especially when it was bathed under bright sunlight. I took a picture and posted it on instagram with the caption 'Cebu from the sky ;)'.
Eventually, I fell asleep...

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Zzzzzzzzzzzz. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzz
I was awoken by the loud sound of the plane landing. Everyone was either using their phone, playing X-box, or watching TV.
When we went down of the plane, a Mercedes Benz van greeted us. We climbed into the van and I rode shotgun again. Luckily, I also knew how to speak Ilonggo, so I was able to converse with the driver a little bit.
When we were on the road, about two hours from the hotel, I put on my earphones and observed the green scenery. Eventually, I fell asleep again, for the second time this day, thinking about how flying to Bacolod was a really great idea.
