My Second Chance {Coronation Street}

Sixteen

Brooke sat with Ella and smiled. She knew that she and Nick were trying for Ella's sake.  She knew that it wasn't easy. But she knew that she wanted to be a mum to her little girl.

She knew that she was young when she first had Ella. And she knew that she wanted to do what was best for her. She knew that she believed that Nick was what was best for her. But the older Ella got, the more she was growing up.

Brooke knew that it hurt her to not be a mum to her. She knew that she was trying. She knew That Chloe was the reason Nick was giving her a chance. And she was grateful for it.

Brooke looked to Ella and smiled. "Mummy loves you so much my girl. I know things aren't easy. But I promise you. It is all going to be okay, I promise you. A lot had happened. But you're my girl. And I am going to do what is best for you. I am going to look after you. It's all going to be okay."

Ella looked to her and giggled. "Mummy," she said as Brooke held her close.

She knew how a lot has happened. She knew that she just wanted to be a good mum.

She knew that even though she was young, she knew that it didn't mean that she couldn't be a good mum. No matter what it took.

Brooke dropped Ella off at Nick's flat. She looked to see Chloe as she answered the door. She looked to her and smiled. "Well you two are getting a little cosy. Is Nick here?" She asked. 

"No. I said I'd take her off of you. He said he had to go to a meeting. It looks good on you being a mum, you know that. You deserve it. You deserve all the happiness that you can get," Chloe said.

Brooke looked to her and smiled. "Thanks Chlo. It means a lot. How are you doing anyway? I know that it hasn't been easy since Aidan. And all that happened between you. Losing him and the baby," she said.

"I'm getting there. Nick saved me when I didn't realise I needed saving. I am going to call her Addison. After him," Chloe said. 

Brooke looked to her and smiled. "I think my uncle Aidan would have loved that and her. I think that he'd also want you to be happy," she said as Chloe looked to her and smiled.

Brooke walked into the cafe. She saw Adam as he looked to her and smiled. "Hey how are you doing?" He asked.

Brooke smiled. "I'm good. Can I get a latte?" she asked Roy as she sat down with Adam. 

He looked to her and smiled. "I'm glad. You look as if you're a total different person," he said.

Brooke looked to him and nodded. "I'm becoming a mother. I am looking at getting my own flat. I am starting college. I want a future for my daughter and for myself. I want for everything to be okay," she said.

Adam looked to her and smiled. "I'm glad, I'm happy for you. You know that " he said as she smiled.

She knew how she just wanted for everything to be okay. But would this be the second chance Brooke needed?
