The morning light streamed through the tattered curtains of my room in Grimmauld Place, but my peaceful waking was shattered. I sat up, only to find myself enveloped in a shower of colorful confetti. My heart raced as I registered the prank.

“FRED WEASLEY!” I shouted, brushing the remnants off my bed.

Just as I threw off the last bits of confetti, the door swung open. Fred stood in the doorway, arms crossed and a mischievous grin on his face. “Good morning, Eloise! How do you like your wake-up call?”

“Like a curse!” I shot back, my anger bubbling up. “You’re going to regret this!”

With a playful laugh, Fred turned and sprinted down the hall. Fueled by indignation, I took off after him, shouting, “You can’t just leave me like this!”

“Catch me if you can!” he called over his shoulder, dashing down the staircase.

“I’m going to catch you!” I yelled, determination lighting my path. I raced down the stairs, skidding into the kitchen, only to find him standing there, feigning innocence amidst the chaos.

“Why did you wake me up in a pile of confetti?” I demanded, hands on my hips.

Fred smirked, hands raised in mock surrender. “It’s a creative awakening!”

“Creative? I dare you to say that again!”

“Are you going to hex me?” he teased, the glint in his eyes a mix of mischief and challenge.

“Absolutely!” I yelled, wand drawn.

“Whoa, whoa! What’s going on here?” Harry said, entering the kitchen with Ron and both Sirius’s close behind.

“Cheshire is about to hex Fred for his ridiculous prank!” Sirius said, glancing between us with an amused expression.

“Rightfully so!” I snapped, still pointing my wand at Fred, who was now making exaggerated fearful faces.

“Come on, Eloise! It was just a bit of fun!” Fred protested.

“A bit of fun? I woke up in a confetti storm! How is that fun?”

Ron stepped in, trying to lighten the mood. “You’ve got to admit, Eloise, Fred’s pranks are usually pretty good. Even if they are chaotic.”

Sirius stood beside me, trying to help. “You know, I understand the urge to hex him, but maybe we should talk this out instead?”

“Talk it out? This is Fred we’re dealing with! He’ll just come up with another prank before the day is over!”

“Hey! That’s not fair!” Fred shot back, still keeping a safe distance.

“Just take a step back,” Harry said, glancing between Fred and me. “We can figure this out without hexes.”

“Not if he keeps being a prat!” I snapped, feeling the magic thrumming in my wand, ready to unleash it if needed.

"Calm down, Eloise." Hermione laughed from the side.

“Yeah, well, let’s hope I don’t end up hexing him into the next century,” I shot back, lowering my wand slightly but still keeping it steady.

“Right? I’d pay to see that,” Fred said, finally regaining his confidence, but there was a cautious edge to his demeanor.

“Enough!” Harry raised his voice slightly, trying to keep control of the situation. “How about we agree that Fred’s pranks can wait until after breakfast? We all need some normalcy.”
