I get the plot of Penthouse mainly revolves around Min Seol Ah's death but the fact that alot of stories on concept still go with that is upsetting.
Suryeon and Seol suffered alot - and I mean the point of fanfic is to try to atleast make the scenario different but all I see is the same Seokhoon X female OCs etc .I barely find any story that has Suryeon or Seol being given a chance at reuniting or giving them their share of happiness and it's just sad
Suryeon first lost her husband , was unaware her daughter had been exchanged she found out sixteen years too late and before she could reach out to her said daughter the only physical remainder of her late husband was killed off . Why is it Suryeon's sufferings are overlooked. It's just frustrating.
That scene in S2 when Rona sees Seol's spirit and asks for her forgiveness is so heart breaking especially when she pleaded for Seol to forgive her mom too but Min Seol Ah even in death was so kind that she merely told Rona she had nothing to apologise for😭😭.
Min Seol Ah is so underated but Seokyung on the other is overated. I won't lie Joo Seokyung is not my favorite and I don't like her at all (if you're Seokyung supporter than that is not my problem if you get offended), it's funny how writers give her share of happiness which she deserves no doubt but yet to normalize everything she did. Yes she was abused and twisted by Dan Tae but that gives no right for her the things she did or the fact fans call her badass
Sane with Seokhoon. Why is he overated? I know because he's good looking and that's why there too many fanfics of him . I rather read Logan X Female OC even though I ship Logan X Suryeon because Logan was atleast very instrumental .
My point is it's not wrong to give Seokhoon and Seokyung happy stories my point is why is it always as if they were the only ones who led a horrid life. Mind you Min Seol Ah had her share of hell growing up but he never took it out on anyone
I watch Penthouse for three people ; Suryeon , Logan and Seol and I will definitely give them their share of happiness no doubt
This mother daughter deserved all the happiness that alot of fanfic authors choose to restrain.
