18. Lie

Shivanya got pulled from her thoughts when her mobile went off.

She kept the frame beside, wiped her tears and received the call.

"Hello, Vakil Sahiba? "

"Hii,  Shivansh" She said, trying hard to control her tears.

Shivansh frowned at her voice and asked in a dangerous yet calm voice"Who is the reason behind your tears, Vakil Sahiba? "

Her eyes widened in shock, she gulped down and said " What.?? Tears? I.. I didn't cried but"

"You forgot that this husband of yours is an ACP.. I can catch lies in seconds" Shivansh said, smirking.

"Ah.. Why did you called me at this hour? " She asked , changing the topic..

"I was missing you" He said sarcastically.

"Lier" She said rolling her eyes..

"Haha!! Well, that file you left here"

"Which? "

"Jisko aap study kar rahi thi aur parso jiski hearing hai" He said.

(The one you were studying and whose hearing is the day after tomorrow)

"Oh.. Can you -

" I'll bring that tomorrow morning " He said cutting her mid way.

"Thank you"

"By the way, please tell me, why were you crying??Vakil Sahiba" He asked calmly, hoping that at least this time she agreed.

" I.. I said na.. I.. I wasn't crying " She Stammered

She can't even lie properly! He thought and chuckled.
"Why are you chuckling? " She asked, narrowing her eyes.

"Nothing.. Well, how was the day spent? " He asked and lied down on the bed.

"Usual. Bhai made our favorite noodles but he didn't came for dinner as he had some urgent case to handle.. You say, how's your day went? " She asked and she too lied on the bed. Completely forgetting about the thing that she was crying a while ago.

"Nothing much.. Today I almost gave death to one of the prisoner but Neil came and dragged me out. You know, sometimes I feel that the fear Neil have of me has really disappeared. I have to  do something" He chuckled and looked at her side, which was now empty.

She too chuckled after hearing him and they talked for a while.
"And then Isha made me eat that extra salt pullao " Shivansh said.

But after getting no reply, he asked "Vakil Sahiba, are you there?? "

"Vanya? "

"Your Vakil Sahiba has slept, while talking to you, Mr. ACP" Aryan said with a chuckle and looked at Shivanya who was sleeping with a smile on her lips.

"Oh.. When did you came?? "  Shivansh asked.

"Just a minute ago.. By the way, Jija Ji, I must say because of you, she is smiling in her sleep, forgetting her pain" Aryan whispered the last part, looking at Ritik's photo frame which was kept on the edge of the bed.

"Seriously?? Well it's Shivansh for you, Mr. IPS.. "

"Ohk.. Ohk.. I think we should talk tomorrow. If Choti woke up because of me then she'll surely beat me " Aryan whispered chuckling.

"Ok! Byee.. " Shivansh said and hung up the call not before chuckling..

I know Vakil Sahiba, you cried before I called you. Don't worry I'm coming tomorrow.. Shivansn thought, looking at the ceiling..
