A thud sounded through the room.
"Well that's the last of it," Y/n put down all of her things, preparing to spend the last week of summer at the Weasley's, from an invitation from Ron.
"I'm going to miss you so much," Her mother hugged her tightly, "Just promise to stay out of trouble this year,"
"And to let us know about these things, keeping your whole Nicholas Flamel and You-Know-Who shenanigan quiet wasn't a good idea, if it weren't for your medical thinking who knows what could have happened to that poor Weasley boy-," Her father was cut off.
"Don't worry," Y/n rolled her eyes, "I am perfectly capable of making responsible choices now that I'm twelve,"
"Sure you are," Daniel sighed, "Like you didn't sneak-yeah you make good decisions,"
"Hang on sneak what and where?" Y/n's mother asked.
"Oh is that the time?" Y/n looked at an imaginary clock, "I really must be going,"
"Y/n," Her father said sternly as the girl picked up her things and headed for the fireplace.
"Ta ta," She dropped the floo powder in the fireplace, "The Burrow,"
"What are we going to do with that girl?" Her mother sighed.
"Not a lot," Daniel smirked.
Y/n landed into a cozy home, it was strange architecturally but it was clear it was a happy home.
"Y/n!" Ron sprinted to hug her.
"Calm down Roland, I might get the idea you're happy to see me," She chuckled, hugging him.
"Happy?" He smiled, "It's been five weeks since I've seen a friend, too bad Hermione can't make it, here let me help you with your things, and are you sure you don't mind sharing a room with Ginny?"
"Oh I'm perfectly fine," She replied, following the ginger up the stairs, "So long as she's happy,"
"Oh she's never been this excited," He chuckled, "Have you heard from Harry?"
Y/n shook her head, "I haven't, I've written twice but no reply, either we've done something wrong we don't know about or his nemesis of an uncle has turned Privet Drive into a concentration camp,"
Ron snorted, "Probably the last one,"
"Oh hello dear," A red-headed short woman stopped them on the landing, "You must be Y/n,"
The girl extended her hand, "Yes, and you're Mrs Weasley?"
"Why yes I am," She smiled, shaking it, "Now don't be shy and think of me as your mother,"
"Thank you," Y/n nodded gratefully, "My mother tells me you're an excellent cook from your Mother meetings,"
"Oh she flatters me," Mrs Weasley chuckled, smiling ear to ear with the compliment, "She's quite the genius though, I hear you have her brains,"
"A flattery too," Y/n chuckled.
"Well I'll leave you two to it, Ginny's very excited to have a friend,"
"And I am too, lovely meeting you Mrs Weasley,"
"And you," The lady nodded, walking downstairs.
Ron sighed and knocked on his sisters door, opened by a short red-headed freckled girl.
She smiled,
"Hi I'm Y/n,"
"Of course I'm Ginny," The girl giggled and let them in, Ron left to do something or other.
