"You two do realise that in the past few hours, yourselves and Miss Y/ln have broken about dozens of school rules?"

Ron and Harry stood guiltily in Dumbledore's office, receiving a lecture on their behaviour.

"Yes Sir," They both nodded.

"And there is sufficient evidence to have all three of you expelled,"

"Yes Sir,"

"Therefore it is only fitting," Dumbledore said ominously.

They looked down in dismay.

"That the three of you receive special awards for special services to the school,"

They looked at each other and smiled.

"Thanks Sir!" Ron perked.

Dumbledore nodded, smiling, "And now Mr Weasley, if you would have an owl to deliver these release papers to Azkaban. I believe we want our gamekeeper back,"

Ron took them and walked off to the Owlery, smiling.

"Harry," Dumbledore turned around, "First I want to thank you Harry. You and Y/n must have shown me real loyalty down in the Chamber. Nothing but that could have called Fawkes to you. Secondly, I sense that something has been troubling you. Am I right?"

"It's just, you see Sir," Harry explained, "I couldn't help but notice certain things, certain similarities between me and Tom Riddle,"

"I see," Dumbledore understood, "You can speak parseltongue Harry, why?"

Harry was clueless.

"Because Lord Voldemort can speak parseltongue," Dumbledore answered, "If I'm not mistaken Harry, he transferred some of his powers to you that night ten years ago. Not intentionally of course,"

"So the sorting hat was right?" Harry asked, "Shouldn't I be in Slytherin?"

"It's true Harry," Dumbledore agreed, "You possess many of the qualities that Voldemort himself prizes. Determination, resourcefulness and if I may say so, a certain disregard for rules. Why then did the Sorting Hat place you into Gryffindor?"

"Because I asked it to," Harry replied.

"Exactly Harry, which makes you different from Voldemort, it's not our abilities that show us what we are but our choices. If you want proof why you're in Gryffindor, then I suggest you look more closely at this,"

He passed Harry the sword of Gryffindor, still covered in blood.

"It would take a true Gryffindor to pull that out of the hat," Dumbledore nodded.

Harry smiled.

The door flung open and Lucius Malfoy walked in. Dobby stood by his side sheepishly.

"Dobby!" Harry gasped, "So this is your master, the family you serve is the Malfoys!"

Dobby whimpered.

"I'll deal with you later," Lucius said harshly to the elf.

He looked up and walked towards Dumbledore, "Out of my way Potter. So it's true, you have returned,"

"When the Governors learned that Arthur Weasley's daughter had been taken into the Chamber, they saw fit to summon me back," Dumbledore explained.

"Ridiculous," Malfoy sneered.

"Curiously Lucius," Dumbledore said, "Several of them were under the impression that you would curse their families if they didn't agree to suspend me in the first place,"
