Everyone knew how bad Nina always felt because of her feelings for the youngest Ramirez, but did Nancy feel bad for lying just to get them to fight? Of course not.
She just couldn't stand Richard leaving her for Nina. He was the love of her life and not only he cheated on her, he did it with her best friend. And he was also breaking up with her for Nina.
Eveyone makes mistakes, but Nancy couldn't help it but lie to Nina's face, making up a conversation with Richard that in reality was the opposite.
She had told Nina how Richard only felt sexually attracted to her but actually didn't care much about her and it was all in the past. She made her believe Richard told her everything because he felt remorse, which wasn't completely wrong.
But in reality, he told Nancy about their secret love for each other because he couldn't wait for Nina to do it; he felt bad and broke up with her, confessing his love for her best friend.
Luckily, their love won and once they realized Nancy's intentions, they started living their love freely, just like two young kids, like they were supposed to.
Still, Nina missed her ex best friend. She couldn't allow herself to hate her, given how wrong she was in the first place. For this reason, she would always excuse Nancy's actions, making Richard mad.
"You can't be fucking serious. You're defending her again?!" He said, with a cigarette between his lips, lying on his bed half naked while his girlfriend sat at the end of it, contemplating her life.
"How can I not defend her? We're the one who betrayed her Ricky." She replied in a soft tone, not looking at him.
She kept playing with her own hands, remaining silent until Richard finished his cigarette and broke the silence.
"Listen to me, baby." He spoke up, crawling up to her and made her turn around so she could face him.
"Yes, maybe what we did was wrong. We should've handled it in a better way but we can't do much about it now. Just wait...and everything will go back in place, trust me." And he kissed her on the forehead, gaining a little smile from the girl he loved. But sometimes Nina would be a little impatient so she didn't wait so long before showing up at Nancy's house, just a few months later.
Like usual, she was greeted by Ms. Avila, who would simply tell her that Nancy didn't want her there.
As the time went by though, she kept showing up at her house, waiting for her mother to let her come in. But Nancy was very decisive about not wanting to talk to her. So she would still remember her mother how Nina wasn't allowed there anymore.
But that wasn't the only thing bothering Nina at the time. She never missed how Richard would simply disappear in the night, going who knows where with Ruth's husband and Mike. That was the thing that would worry her the most, adding to the fact that she couldn't tell Ruth about it as she didn't want her to freak out about her husband and be anxious every night, wondering what he's doing and where he is.
Her loneliness was devouring her though. She wasn't really alone. She felt that way.
It's hard to convince your mind otherwise.
She's got the love of her life but she's lost her best friend of a lifetime. She's lost her dad. Her brother was never home. She was always worrying about her mother being sad and alone. Richard always sneaked out at night with Mike.
And she couldn't talk about these things with anyone. She was stressing out a lot. And an entire year went by like this.
She eventually went back to her mother so that they could feel alone together. At least they made each other stay strong. At least they survived.Short chapter after a long absence, but a lot of things are going to happen in the next fictional years so I needed this to be short.
Coming soon.
