"Hey daddy." I said with a smile.

He didn't say anything, but pulled me into a bone-crushing hug, just as Stiles had done earlier.

I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him back.

When we finally pulled away, he held me at arms length, scanning me up and down, checking for any injuries or ailments, I suppose. He did that all the time when we were kids.

"What...What are you doing here? Is everything okay?" He asked, concern washing over his face.

"I'm fine, daddy, I promise. I just... I had some time off since I'm not teaching summer courses at Georgetown this year, and I really missed you and Stiles so I decided to come for a visit." I smiled faintly at him.

"Well, I'm definitely happy to see you, but with the stuff going on around here... It just worries me a little more."

"What do you mean, daddy? What's going on?"

"Well, we uh... we think we might have a serial killer on our hands..."

Y/N POV

"A serial killer? Not to make it sound like you don't know what you're talking about, but are you sure this isn't, you know... supernatural?" I asked.

"Yeah, we're sure. If it was, Scott would have had some inkling about it, and the two bodies we found, Lydia would have screamed or found them first..." Dad said, sitting back down in his chair at the table.

I sat back in my chair, pushing my hair out of my face and pulling it up into a bun. "What...what type of injuries did they have? Like, what caused their death? And more importantly, Dad... Who died?"

"They were both strangled with chicken wire, but the wire was pulled so tight that it nearly decapitated them, and they were gagged, stripped naked, and dumped deep in the woods. Then set on fire." He said, expressionless.

"Oh my god, that's awful! Who would do something like this?" I questioned, shocked.

"We don't know. We have no leads, or any evidence to even give us a hint... I put in a request to have the FBI come in and help us out... My deputies and I need all the help we can get..." He said, getting up to get a drink. "You want one?"

I nodded. "Dad?"

"Yeah?"

"You still haven't told me who was killed..."

He sighed, finishing pouring some Jack into two glasses, screwing the cap on tight. He walked back over to the table and sat a glass in front of me and took a swig from his.

"You might wanna take a sip before I tell you who it was..." He said, so I did.

"Okay, now tell me." I said sternly.

"Baby, I'm sorry to tell you this, but the two bodies we found were those of Carly Talbot and Bobby Reyes..."

I sucked in a deep breath and I felt tears pricking my eyes. Bobby and Carly were my best friends at Beacon Hills High. We did everything together. But something made me question again if this was supernatural or not...

"Dad, are we sure this isn't some sort of supernatural retaliation? I mean, Bobby's sister Erica was a werewolf and Carly's brother Brett is a werewolf; how do you know for sure this has nothing to do with them?" I asked, wiping the last of my tears off my face.

"Well, it's a little pointless to get revenge on Erica, seeing as she is already dead. As for Brett, he's a part of a pack that hasn't got involved in any serious supernatural fights or anything of that kind. On top of that, if their deaths had been a part of anything supernatural, there would have been a flurry of activity beforehand, and Lydia Martin would have been the one to find the bodies, but we found them."
