Over the next few days, Lily settled into the rhythm of college life. She attended classes, listened to lectures, and completed assignments just like the other students. But beneath the surface, the game had only just begun.

Every day, she observed her step-siblings, picking up on their habits, their routines, their interactions with the outside world. Each of them operated with a level of secrecy that mirrored her own, careful not to reveal too much about themselves.

Haejin and Minho weren't on campus much, but they still kept tabs on everything. Lily could feel their eyes on her, even when they weren't physically present. They were the leaders, the ones who controlled the flow of information. And that made them the most dangerous.

Seojun, with his quiet genius, was often in the library or some tech lab, working on projects that were far more advanced than anything the professors were assigning. Lily suspected that his real work had nothing to do with school.

Hana, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy blending in with the other students. She was skilled in martial arts, but she never showed it openly. She played the part of the aloof senior, keeping her distance while still observing everything.

Daehyun remained an enigma, his cold gaze always fixed on something beyond the surface. Lily had caught him disappearing from campus several times, no doubt handling tasks for the family. What those tasks were, she didn't want to know just yet.

And then there was Hyunsoo, the youngest, always pushing the limits, always trying to prove that he was more than just the baby of the family. He was reckless, and that made him dangerous in his own way.

Despite the slow unraveling of their personalities, Lily knew one thing for certain: each of them was as dangerous as she was. They were family, bound by blood and secrets, but also enemies in their own right.

One afternoon, as Lily walked through the campus on her way to the gym, she saw Daehyun leaning against a tree, his expression as cold as ever. He hadn't noticed her yet, which gave her a rare opportunity to observe him without being seen.

But just as she was about to pass by, he called out to her, his voice as emotionless as his face. "You're good at hiding, aren't you?"

Lily froze for a moment before turning to face him. She kept her expression neutral, though her mind raced. Did he know something?

"I don't know what you mean," she replied calmly.

Daehyun's dark eyes narrowed slightly as he pushed himself off the tree and stepped closer to her. "You don't fit in. You're too... quiet."

Lily smirked, crossing her arms. "Maybe I just don't feel like talking."

"Or maybe you're hiding something," he said softly, his gaze piercing through her.

Lily felt her pulse quicken, but she refused to let it show. She had dealt with more dangerous people than Daehyun. Still, there was something unnerving about the way he seemed to see right through her.

"You're not the only one who can hide, Daehyun," she said, her voice dropping to a whisper.

For a moment, their eyes locked, neither one willing to back down. It was a silent standoff, a battle of wills that neither of them could afford to lose. Finally, Daehyun gave a faint smirk and stepped back.
