Twenty-Five

[Mevrick's POV]

I watched her with an unending smile on my face. I meant it when I said I want this to be forever and always...I want her no, I need her. I can literally see no future without her. My smile became wide when the thought crossed my mind, Mrs Lockwood. My smile and happiness became fear.

What if she gets bored and sees how much of a cold-hearted bastard? What if I'm not able to give as much as I get? What if she leaves me?

Stop it Mevrick! She made me promise that this was forever and it will be.. but what if she regrets it? I got up from the bed but saw her hand stretched to hold me but fell to the bed. Slowly she opened her eyes and when they met mine and an instant smile was on her lips

"Hey there." I greeted

"Hey love."

I smiled hearing her, gosh! I love this girl. She stood up and walked to me...bare

"I thought you'd wake me up with a kiss." She wrapped her arms around my neck. My heart rate quickened

"Well, I was going to wake you up with breakfast." I kissed her

"Really?" I saw an excited smile on her lips

"Yeah." She wanted to leave my arms but I held her "and where are you going?"

"Back to sleep..."

We both burst out laughing "I have something else in mind." I lifted her placing her on the bed as I made love to her that morning with the sunshine meeting up with us.

I got up to make coffee not wanting to wake her up...I got ready for work but she was still asleep. Of course she would, she'll wake up in the next two or three hours given what happened this morning. I chuckled lowly and kisses her forehead. She opened her eyes a bit

"Stay in today." I whispered

"No.."

"I'll be back early."

"We can both be back early." Her voice was sleepy. There was no arguing with her so I nodded

"But you'll sleep first, agreed?" I was happy when she nodded and got more comfortable in the bed

"I love you Tessy."

I got to the office to find Nickson waiting for me
"You might want to sit down for this."

"For what?" I asked in confusion

"For this.." he held a brown envelope up.

"What's this about?"

"Theresa Martins"

[Theresa's POV]

I got up, got ready then picked up my journal. I tried placing the finals and by just joining few strings together, it made sense. I've found out who is behind all this and I have solid proof. After jotting it down, I rushed to the office.. happy and scared. Happy because I've finally caught who's behind all this and expose him. Scared...I'm scared for Mevrick, how would he feel? Would he even believe me?

I got there and straight to his office, opening the door I saw them standing together and my heart froze when I saw the anger in Mevrick's eyes, anger and hurt.

What did he say to him? My heart raced. I looked from Nickson to Mevrick...

"No lies. Why?" His voice was held an emotion I've never heard before and it was scary. When I didn't answer he yelled "Why!"

I flinched. I knew what he meant but how can I tell him "Mev..."

"Planning to rob me?"

"Rob you?..."
