"I HATE BEING A SPY." I muttered under my breath, weaving through the crowded street. The air buzzed with laughter and chatter as families strolled, vendors called out their deals and children darted around, filling the air with laughter.

I sighed, trying to push aside the longing for a normal life as I blended in, dodging street performers and people snapping photos.

This part of the world had a liveliness to it that reminded me of everything I couldn't afford to have—a carefree life without missions, without watching my back.

But here I was, slipping past strangers in a country far from home, constantly on edge as I scanned for any sign of the group I'd been tracking.

This weeks missions have been rough, Now that Eden was on a break WISE took that opportunities to give me these hard and complicated missions and to make it more confusing i was in a whole other country.

As I rounded a corner I paused, noticing a construction site across the street. Workers hauled steel beams and concrete blocks, the machinery clanking loudly above the crowd's voices.

I was about to move on when I saw a young man standing dangerously close to a stack of heavy metal beams that looked unsteady.

And then, in a horrifying split second, the beams tilted teetering on the edge and my instinct kicked in. I dashed across the street, my heart pounding as I leaped forward just in time, Holding him in my arms as the beams crashed down on my back.

People around us gasped, their eyes wide with shock. "Are you okay?" I asked in french as i tried to catch my breath, hoping my accent wasn't too noticeable.

The young man stared at me stunned before he nodded, a look of pure awe on his face. I quickly smiled and slipped away, disappearing back into the crowd before anyone else could ask questions.

Hours later, I arrived at Safe House D, a hidden base nestled in the quiet outskirts of France. To my surprise both Agent Lena and Agent Nightfall were already there, discussing the latest intel over a stack of blueprints.

I shouldn't have been too shocked, this mission was massive with stakes higher than anything I'd faced before. The analysis indicated that each bomb was enough to level an entire city—and they had positioned one in every area across the region.

If it detonated it wouldn't just be a catastrophe for France but also for Westails since we were the closest to France.

As i approached we all began pouring over the latest intel, maps and blueprints spread across the table.

"Which means we need to intercept these bombs before they have a chance to detonate, especially before word spreads and it turns into a full-blown disaster." Agent Nightfall mumbled as she tapped a finger against one of the city grids.

"We'll have to split up to cover ground. Every second matters." I said glancing at the team as a few workers approached, distributing earpieces.

Each of us took one, slipping it into place. This way, we'd be connected to each other and HQ throughout the mission.

Lena mapped out our last communication checkpoints on a nearby tablet. "Once we secure our areas, we'll update HQ immediately." she added, glancing at me and Nightfall as we nodded.

With our assignments set we all set off, Armed with as much intel and gear as we could carry. I made my way through the maze of deserted streets to the old building on the edge of the city.

The eerie quiet was only broken by the occasional rustle of wind through broken windows. The place was in ruins with floors uneven, debris littered everywhere and walls cloaked in shadows.
