"I'M THE SPY WHO'LL HELP THE WORLD AND YOU'LL BE THE EVIL ROBBER!" Anya exclaimed, her voice full of excitement as she pointed dramatically in my direction.
I smirked playfully, slipping into character. "You'll never stop me, Agent Anya!" I cackled evilly, darting around the living room as Anya chased after me with all the determination of a pint-sized secret agent.
Her giggles filled the house as I dodged behind the couch, dramatically tripping over my own feet. "Ahhh!" I fake-yelled, landing on the floor with an exaggerated thud. "You got me! Noooo!"
Anya, beaming triumphantly, pounced on me. "Captured! You're going to jail, evil robber!"
Lying on the floor, I glanced up at Agent Leon, who sat at the dining table, sipping his tea next to Loid. He raised an eyebrow at the scene, clearly amused. "You certainly get along with kids." he observed
Loid smirked, glancing over the rim of his teacup. "She's good at improvising." He said as the two snickered.
Before I could respond, Anya piped up, scolding the two with a fierce little scowl. "Big sis Y/N is way more fun than all of you!" She exclaimed while I stuck my tongue out at both Leon and Loid.
"You tell 'em, Anya!" I laughed, rolling over to sit up on the floor. "They're just sad old grannies."
Leon shook his head, narrowing his eyes as he leaned back in his chair. "Excuse me, I'm just two years older than you!" he scoffed, clearly taking offense at being lumped in with Loid.
"Still doesn't make you any less of a granny." I teased, earning a playful glare from Leon. Just as I opened my mouth to continue my witty retort, the sound of the front door unlocking pulled all of our attention.
We all turned our heads, watching as the door opened to reveal a stunning young woman with long black hair and striking red eyes.
She looked around, a little bewildered to see both Leon and me in her home, unfamiliar faces among the usual scene.
"Hello!" she greeted, blinking in surprise as her eyes darted between us. "Who... are these guests?"
Loid immediately stood up from his seat, effortlessly slipping into his calm and composed persona, even though I knew he wasn't expecting her back this early.
He rested a hand on both my shoulder and Leon's, smiling smoothly. "Yor, this is my niece, Y/N, and her friend, Leon. They're just visiting for a little while."
Leon and I exchanged quick glances before standing up politely, offering her a respectful bow in unison. "Nice to meet you!" we both said in chorus.
Yor, looking flustered but clearly touched by our politeness, gave a bright smile and extended her hand to shake ours.
"The pleasure is mine. I'm Yor Forger." she introduced herself warmly. "I didn't know Loid had a niece!"
As I took her hand, I couldn't help but notice how delicate yet firm her grip was, a strange combination that told me more about her than she probably intended.
It was easy to see why Loid had chosen her for this pretend family. She was kind, gentle, and beautiful—but there was something else, something mysterious hidden beneath the surface.
But of course, I wasn't here to dig into her secrets not when I had so many of my own.
Anya tugged on Yor's hand with her eyes wide and excited. "Mama! Y/n is playing spy with me!"
"Oh? That sounds fun!" Yor smiled, crouching down to Anya's level. "Did you manage to catch her?"
"Yup! She's going to jail forever!" Anya puffed out her chest, proud of her 'victory' and I playfully slumped my shoulders in defeat, adding to the drama.
