"Ayurmin..." Nehari's voice trailed off as tears gathered in her big, misty eyes. Her adorable pout made her look like a small, abandoned kitten. "I... I'm afraid." She lowered her teary gaze to the ground, playing nervously with her fingers.
"Don't be afraid." Ayurmin flashed a warm smile and gently lifted her chin, guiding her to look into his deep ruby eyes, which glistened with determination. "I'm here for you, so there's nothing to worry about."
She sniffled. "...You won't leave me?"
"Never! Why would you even think something so absurd?"
"I love you, Ayurmin!"
"I love you too, Nehari."
And they kissed, putting the first step toward a beautiful journey filled with love, TOGETHER FOREVER.

Seyara groaned in frustration as she threw the book aside.
"That's the end? That's it?"
She flopped onto her bed and hugged her pillow, silently crying in her mind.
It had taken her eight hours to finish the romance novel, Two Hearts, One Soul. She’d sacrificed her whole evening, even delaying her usual bedtime, and now it was nearly 1 a.m. But despite investing all that time, she felt disappointed. The story had started incredibly, funny and well detailed, but later on, it had gone downhill—and Seyara had read until the end, even though she suspected it would let her down. There were only fifty chapters after all.
'At least the villainess was cool,' she thought, trying to console herself. It was the first time she had ever liked a villainess. To be honest, she'd say everyone was better than the main couple. She couldn't even feel their chemistry that much. Like, something was... Strange.
But she couldn't point out what it was.
Seyara closed her puffy, sleepy eyes, hoping to fall asleep quickly. Her mind got clouded with the novel's incidents. Even though it was school holiday season, she still had to wake up early the next day to visit her sick grandma. So she took a deep breath and concentrated on counting the jumping sheep she imagined in her mind.
Soon, she drifted off into Dreamland.
The next morning...
As Seyara woke up, she felt something rough against her arms. She ran her hands over it, trying to identify what it was. She was sure her pillow was softer than this. It felt odd. It was like she was touching a wall.
Suddenly, a rough hand grabbed her forearm tightly, and a deep male voice growled, "Stop touching me!"
Seyara gasped and opened her eyes wide. Seeing a guy in bed with her, she screamed—loud enough for all the neighbors to hear.
"Who the hell are you? What are you doing in my bed?" she snapped, covering herself with her blanket despite wearing proper pajamas.
"You're the one who came to my chamber," he snapped back. "Are you trying to sleep with me, the almighty prince of the Kingdom of Rudvenia?"
"Kingdom of what?" Seyara frowned, the name sounding strangely familiar. She took a closer look at him.
Black and gold royal attire, handsome face, red eyes like rubies, short black hair, broad shoulders, a black birthmark on his neck...
Could it be... that dude?
"Ar... Are you... Prince Ayurmin?" she asked hesitantly.
'Tell me I'm wrong!' She cried and hoped in her heart.
But his answer shattered all her hopes.
"Yes, I am. Who else could it be if not someone as handsome as me?" He smirked and winked mischievously, feeling confident that it was the most charming and attractive thing to do in front of a girl.
"Wait, does this mean... I’ve transmigrated into this trashy story, like those girls in transmigration and reincarnation novels? Hell no!" Seyara clutched her head with both hands, looking desperate. "Out of all stories, it had to be this one! This oneee! Aaaah!"
Ayurmin frowned. "What are you talking about?"
"You wouldn’t understand." Seyara buried her face in her hands and cried dramatically. "Wait, wait." She suddenly stopped and looked at him seriously. "Do you know what my identity is? I should be the villainess, right, right? That’s usually how it goes. I must be the villainess!" She started fake crying again. "Am I going crazy first thing in the morning? Mommyh! Save meh!"
Ayurmin frowned even more. He began to wonder if she had some kind of mental illness. Even she admitted it herself.
"Wait a minute!" Seyara stopped her tantrum and looked around the room.
The plain white ceiling, anime posters on the walls, a brown desk with a pink table lamp, small but cute plushies…
It was her room! No doubt about it!
"Excuse me, sir.. I mean.. high and mighty Prince Ayurmin, any idea where you are?" She put her hands on her hips. "This is MY room! Not your luxurious royal chamber!"
'Ha! I'm not afraid of this joker anymore.'
Ayurmin looked around, shocked. After taking in his surroundings, he realized she was indeed right. He was no longer in his chamber.
"You!" He pointed a finger at her. "Did you kidnap me?!"
He couldn't believe she kidnapped him, a royal, high and mighty prince from a powerful, unshakable kingdom like Rudvenia.
Seyara rolled her eyes. "Puh! There are better male leads to kidnap. You’d be my last choice."
"Hey! How dare you insult a royal prince?" Ayurmin glared at her.
"I can insult you all I want. This is MY territory, not yours!" she shot back, crossing her arms.
'It's not like you can kill me, idiot.'
"Stop messing around and send me back instantly," Ayurmin said with a dark expression. "I have a lot of work to do. I'm not as useless as you are."
"Really?" Seyara raised a brow, finding his words amusing. "I don’t know how you ended up in my bedroom, but you can go back the way you came. Don’t bother me! I'm useless anyway!"
"You!" Ayurmin clenched his teeth. "What kind of lady are you? You have zero manners."
Seyara snorted. "Too bad, but I’m not a lady."
Ayurmin opened his mouth to retort, but a knock on the main door interrupted him.
Seyara gasped. "It must be my brother!" She quickly got off the bed. "If he sees this joker, he’ll kill me!"
"What did you call me?" Ayurmin's anger grew. "How dare you insult me! I’ll ask my father the king to behead—" Before he could finish talking, Seyara pulled him toward her closet and shoved him inside, locking the door.
"Stay here and be quiet!" she warned sternly.
Ignoring her warning, Ayurmin started banging on the closet door, yelling, "Let me out!"
"Shut up!" Seyara hissed. "If you make another sound, I won’t open the door for a month. You can die and rot in there for all I care!"
Her threat succeeded in silencing him.
After giving his direction one last glare, Seyara stepped out of her room and hurried downstairs to the front door. When she opened it, she was surprised to see her neighbor, Aunt Wasumi, standing there.
"Is everything alright, dear? I heard you scream," Aunt Wasumi asked, leaning in to peek inside.
Seyara forced a smile. "Yeah, everything’s fine."
"Where’s your brother? Has he returned yet?" Aunt Wasumi asked. "I thought I heard a—"
Just then, Ayurmin let out a scream, loud enough for Aunt Wasumi to hear. She stopped mid-sentence, her face showing surprise.
Seyara’s forced smile froze instantly.
