I miss your smile,
Golden light that warmed my days.
Your embrace would be a shelter
Amid cold storms and greys. My heart breaks to pieces
Remembering you here.
You left, and I, alone,
Remain not knowing where to steer. The days once felt like a feast,
Now shadow and silence reign.
The blue sky, faded and worn,
Turned gray in my sorrow's strain. If only I could turn back time,
I'd have avoided your gaze,
Avoided wanting you,
Avoided love's embrace. But I'd have never been happy.
For your treasured advice,
Still warms my spirit
And lingers in my dreams each night.
