The Mystery

A riddle veiled in shadows deep remains,
A puzzle none can truly yet explain.
In tomorrow’s breath, where secrets lie contained,
In dreams unwoven and in fleeting gain.

In tales that wait, as yet, to be retold,
In feelings left unfelt, unseen by eyes,
In whispered truths too distant to behold,
And hidden armor worn as faint disguise.

Between the lines of words left still unsaid,
In places, faces, yet unknown to roam,
In fleeting dreams where none have ever tread,
In wandering paths that lead one closer home.

The unknown is sought—but not all the way;
Loved is the mystery, but when it's  clear as day.
