The sun shines in through the wooden shutters of my bedroom window and there's no better wake to be awaken. I roll over yawning as I stretch before sitting at the side of my bed to slide my feet into my slippers. I stood to my feet and headed to the big French doors lead to the hallway. I always felt so blessed whenever I opened the doors because it overlooked the legends that I inherited. My parent died when I was only six years old so my grandparents took me in and cared for me. They were old and fragile but they never lacked unconditional love for me and I felt it everyday. My world came crashing down the first time when my grandfather passed away and not shortly after my grandmother. I believe she passed away from a broken heart she was never the same when he left it hurt my heart everyday to see her that way. I didn't really know too much of my family members to get subjections from them on arranging either of their funerals. All in all I did and got them to their finally resting place on their land. They own roughly two thousand acres all fenced in but for the ranch they had separated five hundred acres. The big beautiful Victorian house set back from the road and you couldn't miss it once you got over the hill. I loved living on The Lawson's Ranch here the air was fresh and smelled of sunflowers and daisies.

The stair case overlooked the huge foyer and the huge bay window overlooked the beautiful scenery. I headed down the stairs and into the kitchen to make my tea and start my breakfast. I decided on toast, sunny side up eggs and turkey bacon. I picked the eggs daily from my chickens in the coop I also sold to my local community stores. After breakfast I always showered and got dressed to head out to the stable to tend to my horses. My daily attire consisted of one of my hats, a tank with a plaid button up shirt and slim boot cut jeans. I own several pairs of boots that I became well known for and it landed me the nickname Pretty Boots but my real name is Ira May Lawson. Since I could remember I always had boots on working on the farm with my grandparents. Every Christmas I was gifted a pair and I never complained I was always excited. My dream was to be a real cowgirl on a farm and thanks to my grandparents it came true and I couldn't be more grateful.

Once I was done getting dressed my dog Bella and I headed out the front door to take our walk down the path to the stables. I own 3 horses Clover, Ollie and Copper, Clover being my sweet girl of course. I spent time brushing their shiny coats and keeping their stalls clean. I feed them Wealthy Bowls is what I like to call them because I mixed oaks, apples and some carrots they love it. Ollie and Copper were my grandfather's they were older than my Clover so I gave them extra fibers and minerals in their diets. Sitting with the horses I would loose track of daylight it was truly my place of peace. I locked up and walked back up to the house just as the sun was setting and trust me when I say it was breathtaking. I would sit on the porch swing and just get lost in God's grace and mercy, his creations were nothing less than amazing. Bella and I went inside after the beautiful sunset to wash up and have dinner. I made my grandmother's famous soup it taste of everything good. Definitely the best way to end my day.
