I moved to the city after graduation to work as a pipe liner it paid good money and I wanted to save up. I knew I wanted the family life and to have my own ranch to raise my children on. I had dreams and plenty of ambitions to make my dreams come true and I was determined. Ira May was the only woman I've ever wanted and I had big hopes of making her my world. It was hard going through these years not seeing her beautiful face and contagious smile. She literally lit up my heart and I couldn't deny it or lie to myself anymore. I'm no longer a young scared buck I was a man. Even as a young man I knew Ira wasn't the type of lady you strung along because you're young and ignorant. I understood that and took the opportunity to build my life and self worth as a man. I would make her my wife and love her unapologetically.

Back in the small city I sold all my possessions and packed my truck up and made my way back to my hometown. It felt good turning onto my parent's property knowing I exceeded my own goals and could come back for what I wanted. I knew Lone Star Bar would be were the town gathered on nights so I would attend. I walked inside and just looked around it felt like old times. I wasted no time hugging my parents and catching up since I hadn't picked my phone up much on the long drive back. Shortly after I was done I proceeded to shower and get dressed to go to the bar. Ira loves black so that's what I'll be wearing tonight. I put my black cowboy hat on, button down shirt, black Levi jeans and my expensive alligator boots. I felt like a million bucks knowing I looked good and would be running into her tonight. I did a once look over in the hallway mirror and headed out the door to my truck. I made the drive from the other side of town with the windows down enjoying the night air. I pulled into the parking lot, parked and walked in.

Once inside I kind of stood in the doorway and looked at my surroundings and recognized a few people. But, the one face that stood out the most was hers, Ira May. I pretended to not see her standing there in pure shock and I wasn't mad about that reaction. I would soon be showing her the reason why I'm back and she won't be able to deny me in any way.

I had planned to approach her to ask her to dance but before I could she took off out the door. I was a little disappointed because I yearned for her touch for so long now. I made my mind up to go to her home and see her that way she couldn't escape giving me her presence. In the back of my mind I'm hoping she isn't going to be against seeing me and hearing me out. She's the true love of my life and I didn't want to waste anymore time putting it off and risk loosing her to someone who wouldn't cherish her soul. I can't wait to wake up to her caramel skin and beautiful messy curls as the sun peeps through the windows.

After she dashed out of those door I finished my drink and made my way back to my parent's home. This wasn't how I planned or seen my night going but I had no choice but to accept it. There's more than enough time to get to her and present the world I arranged for us. I laid in my old bed and thought of her until my mind went into resting and then into my dreams.
