I Won't Leave You ALONE (Death Note-L X Reader)

One Week

It's been a week. A whole week and there has been no messages or calls about you getting to help on the Kira case. Of course, you told L about Kira and the case a week ago, and right after that you contacted Mr. Yagami about how you confronted L and how you wanted to help on the case as well.

You told him how you were a detective and actually helped L, did he believe you, sorta. Did he ever call back for you to start helping out? Nope.

So, being your snoopy-detective self, you go ahead and start taking notes about how Kira is killing and when and where. You have it all mapped out on several maps, notepads, your laptop and desktop computer.

You bite your nail as you stare at your notepad. An old habit you learned from L. You didn't notice you were still biting your nail.

"How is Kira killing these people.." You mumble to yourself. You finally notice you've been biting your nail and decide to stop.

You keep searching things up and taking notes, you probably are ahead of everyone at this point.

*Time Skip-----9:30 PM--

You exhale and long breath and shut down your computer. You, of course, clear all the history before doing so. Grabbing the notepads and maps, you lock them up in a small makeup box. You twist the key and lock it all up, sliding it into the closet in the hallway.

You flip through the T.V, feeling bored and more bored..

*L's POV---

After contacting the Task Force earlier last week, you all have gained much more information about the killer. But each day it seems like Kira is growing stronger. You sit down, your knees to your chest as you think about y/n.

God she has such beautiful E/C eyes..Just mesmerizing..And her lips..I could kiss them all day. Her laugh is sweet and sexy. Her attitude is flared out. She simple, yet out there. She looks sexy just in her sweat pants and her oversized t-shirt.. 

You could keep thinking and thinking on and on about y/n, but you have to stop. You push away from the desktop and walk around the dark room.

I know Kira has many ways of killing.. Most likely he needs a face and a name to kill someone. Maybe I should contact y/n.. she's amazing. I remember when she helped me on that one case

*******FLASHBACK----------------

"I don't understand, this doesn't add up..I can't get anymore proof that HE did it y/n..What am I going to do, this has never happened to me before," You sigh, biting your nail out of a nasty habit.

Y/n walks over and takes her red video camera off the charger. You give her a questioned look and tilt you head. "Now, what on Earth are you doing now, little bird?" That was your nick name for her.

Y/n grins in a way that only means 'danger' or 'WARNING! Risky Idea!'

"Well, my dear friend Ryuzaki, I am going to get actual video proof. I'll follow the guy around all day, don't worry, I'll be dressed differently. I'll get you your proof L." She grins again.

"No that's a very bad idea y/n. Please don't go and do something that risky, he knows what you look like, you could get yourself killed!" You shout and stand up. She flinches at your reaction. You couldn't imagine her..Dead..

"Ryu, I'll be fine." She assures you, but you ain't gon' buy it. (lol southern accent right there XD)

She turns to leave but before she even touches the door knob you say, "You don't want to end up like your mom and dad, do you?"

Turning around slowly, she nods at you. "I won't be dead like them, I won't." And with that, she leaves.

About an hour later, you turn into a nervous wreck. The rain outside pours heavily, the thunder claps and lightning cracks across the dark clouded sky. You sigh, and that's when the door bangs open and slams shut.

Y/n stands there drenched, holding up her camera. "I got it." She says as she collapses. You catch before she falls. "You alright?"

She shakes her head, "No..I'm exhausted..I ran four blocks..the rain and the thunder.." she whispers.

You hold her damp body close to your chest as she sobs, remembering how her parents died in that storm, out in the street, when a shooting happened...
