Y/n's POV

After sitting in the grass for a bit longer, you and Aaron slowly make it to his car which was parked on the other side of the street. You could feel his eye still giving you a worried look, but schooling everytime you would look over.

"This is my ride," Aaron breaks the silence, clicking his keys to unlock to a fairly unassuming car.

As you slide into the front seat, Aaron turns from behind the wheel, a serious look on his face only this time it wasn't like it was aimed at you.

"I don't know where I am taking you," he almost scoffs. "I'm going to need your help here."

He starts the car, the first thing you notice if the music that was playing. Taylor Swift.

"Didn't peg you as a Swiftie," you say trying to lighten the mood.

The look of faux hurt on his face. "And do you have a problem with that?"

"No. Not at all. Just an observation."

The conversation eased into a comforting rhythm while we were stuck is the shitty New York traffic.

Aaron drumming this thumbs on the wheel singing under his breath inbetween topics.

"Take a left up here, and it's just around the corner pretty much." You direct him.

"If I park over there does that work?"

"Oh no need to park. I can just hop out and get out of your hair."

"No. As I said, I want to make sure you get home in one piece, I am walking you up to your apartment," he asserted, not aggressively, just very matter of a fact. "I am not risking you falling down the assumed many flights of stairs to get to your place."

You knew the last comment was made as a joke, but Aaron's tone was not all light hearted as you had initially thought.

"Not a bad driver," you remark. "Ever thought of becoming an Uber diver. You would be good at it."

"Can't say that has been on my list of career choices, but acting can be a tough gig so good to know I have a backup option. Now you keep your arse on that seat until I come around." He says, swiftly sliding out of his seat, and seeming run around to your door.

"Really, I'm fine I promise. You don't need to do this."

"I'm not saying I don't trust you, but that sounds pretty similar to what you said before you almost had a face full of grass."

As you get out of the car, the dizziness returning, this time for only a fleeting moment before your vision cleared once again to the slight of Aaron giving you an 'I told you so' look, with his hand gripping onto yours.

"Stay there for a sec, 'readjust' in your words. No need to rush this." He says, placing himself in font of you to stop you walking away nor does he let go of your hand.

"Dude you need to take a chill pill, I'm fine." you remark, rolling your eyes at him. His hand finally releasing yours before he stepped to the side letting you pass him.

He sheepishly follows you up to your apartment. Reaching your door you turn once again to face him.

"About what I said earlier, I'm sorry. I promise I am fine, you don't need to worry about me. I probably shouldn't have told you in the first place. You can just forget it."

"Y/n. Stop apologising. And yeah, I'm going to worry about you. No matter what you say I am going to. That's just what happens with friends." Aaron says. "And no, I am not going to forget it. I want to you know that you can always message me okay. I'm here for yo-"

Aaron gets cut off by the sounds of scratching at the other side of the door.

"And that would be Henry." You giggle. "You want to come in and meet him."

"I think it would be rude for me not to now." His brow furrowed, a dorky smile creeping onto his face.

As you open the door, you scoop Henry up like you always would to prevent him escaping into the hallway. You plant a kiss on his for head and mumble something at him.

"Oh my god," shock evident on his face. You place Henry on the ground now that the door was shut allowinf him to go over and investigate Aaron and the smells He brought in. "He is so well behaved. Do I smell like dog? That's Miles" he says, talking to Henry and he lowered himself to the cats who was viciously rubbing against him.

"He likes you," you comment walking further into the kitchen to take a seat on the stool at the small counter. Upon turning back around you see Aaron has picked Henry up, holding him like a baby while giving him ear scratches. "Oh Hen, where have your bones gone. Has he taken them."

"He is beautiful." Pausing for a moment before continuing. "Well I better get going." He jokes, turning towards the door Henry still in his arms.

"Oi, no you are not." Both of them letting out a laugh. "Where is Henry? *Pst pst* Henry!"

Like clockwork, Henry jumps out of Aaron's arms and makes his way over to you.

"Well trained too. No chance in hell could I be able to call Miles over to me if he was meeting new people." Aaron says, making his way to sit on the stool next to you. "It's a nice place you have here, small but homey. I like it."

"Yeah, well it's the best my shitty jobs can pay for. Work with what you are given I guess.

You and Aaron talk for 10 more minutes, keeping the conversation light a airy, guessing that Aaron could sense your tension around it.

"Well I'm really glad you came today. I was really nice having you around. It's easy being in your company, something that is important." He smiles. "And about what we talked about earlier, I do want to talk about it more with you and see what I can do to help, but I get that now isn't the time for it."

"Thanks Aaron, it means a lot knowing that you are there, and want to help me."

"Of course. And for one last time, I promise, I am here for you and just a call away should you need anything. Okay?"

"Thanks Aaron."

"Anytime. Talk to you soon yeah?"

"Yeah."

And with that, he was gone.

Knowing that someone now knows was a mixture of feelings, like a weight has been taken off of my, balanced by the guilt that it is now on Aaron.

Hey all.
Another update, mostly fluff, but hopefully that is alright. I do have some plans for coming chapters, but just need to figure out how to get everyone in the right place for it.

Hope you are all enjoying, and are going to stick around to see what is coming.

I hope you are all doing well, remember to eat some food, drink some water, and take your meds(if needed). And most importantly remember you are loved. ♥️
