Y/n's POV

It had been a couple days since the incident at the picnic, and everyday you would wake up to a message from Aaron, and more often than not, one to look at when you got off of work.

He wasn't treating you any differently though, not doing the normal thing people do when they find out you are struggling and constanly pester you with questions like 'how are you today?', 'are you okay?' and most dreaded 'have you eaten today?'. All questions you know come from a place of love, but still add a level of pressure that would likely end with you just lying to them.

After working another double shift, on your walk home you finally get a chance to check your phone. A smile creeping onto your face as you see a message from Aaron

Aaron

Hey, I have a proposal for you.
We have a double show coming up on
Saturday, and as I know you live
super local, would you like to come
hang out with us at the theatre. Who
knows what we will get up to, but most
likely nothing good.

That is if your up to it and not working
or something. Or we could even just
go get coffee and sit somewhere
if you don't want to deal with people

Lucky for you, for once I am not
working this weekend until Sunday
night. This means that I may be able
to meet up for sure.

Sounds like it would be fun.

Hell yeah!
The show starts 1.30, so if you
want to meet me here around 3-3.30 ish.
Me or someone else can let you in

Done!

Looking forward to it :)

--------------------

The smile still on your face as you walk down your street. You were glad that you had found someone to be with while out here. The loneliness that once consumed me, now being fought single handedly by Aaron.

==========

After working late the night before, you wake up Saturday morning to a disapproving look from Henry who was clearly displeased that you had slept in and that he had not been fed yet. You roll over to grab your phone reading the clock which read 9.45.

"I'm sorry Hen, I must have been tired and unlike you I can just sleep all day. I have shit to do," you jest, reaching out to pet him in apologies. "Let go get you fed huh?"

You go about your morning routine as normal, taking Henry out for fresh air, shower and tidy the apartment up a little bit before sitting at the kitchen bench with the first-aid box in front of you.

"This is going to hurt like a bitch," you mutter to yourself opening the antiseptic wash that you were about to douse yourself with.

The sting, while it brings tears to your eyes and you wipe it over everything, is not entirely unwelcome. Acting as a reminder of your actions as some of the older cuts reopen and begin to seep with blood again. After everything had been cleaned and had dried, you went about putting plasters on everything.
