You hold onto Shawn's hand tightly as you are pushed along through the mass of people. The airport was filled with travelers and fans who had heard that Shawn was leaving for tour today.

He pulls you through the crowd and you finally get past security and to the gate that his plane will be at. He's going away for three months, and you're absolutely dreading it.

You sit in silence, still holding Shawn's hand, in the waiting area. You rest your head on his shoulder and he traces patterns on the back of your hand with his thumb.

"Flight 4061 to New York." The loudspeaker announces his flight.

Shawn stands up and so do you. He looks at you sadly for a second then pulls you in to his chest. You wrap your arms around his neck and his arms secure your body against his.

You start to silently cry, knowing that this is the last time you'll hug him for three months. Your tears fall on his shoulder, creating a small wet patch on his shirt. He releases you and you see that his eyes are a little red and puffy.

He grabs your waist once again and this time attaches his lips to yours. You kiss him passionately then hug him one last time.

"I promise the time will fly by and I'll be home before you know it okay baby? I love you so so so much," Shawn whispers in your ear.

"I l-love you too. Call me when you land okay?" You say, trying to steady your breath.

"Of course." He cups your face in his large hands and kisses your forehead.

"I'll see you soon okay?" He says, giving you a smile that you're surely going to miss while he's gone.

"Soon, yeah," you reply, chuckling and smiling back at him.

His warm hands fall from your cheeks and he grabs his backpack and walks away.

You see him about to enter the doorway to the jet bridge. He turns around and waves at you, then disappears.

"Soon," you whisper to yourself.
