Hey, y'all, this is a continuation of the 'new enemies' chapter. In the previous chapter, Smg3 got interrogated for a crime he didn't commit, and he ended up losing a friend in the process. In this chapter, Meggy pulls the ultimate betrayal and reveals SAJ's secret to the crew. The Mario Arc is owned by MEGAMANZLEGe. Now, on to the story.
Back at the hospital, The girls were talking to Luigi about the incident in his hospital room.
"Yeah, I don't really remember much about earlier. All I remember was someone in a black hoodie leaning over me, then all the sudden I wasn't breathing properly." Luigi said.
"I see. Anything else?" Saiko asked.
"Pretty sure I could make out freckles on their face." Luigi said.
As the girls think over this information, Meggy walks into the room, a look of surprise across her face when she sees Luigi sitting upright. She then gives the group a warm smile.
"Missed you, Green." Meggy said.
"Missed you too, Meggy." Luigi replied.
"Come on, sit, we're trying to find out something." SAL gestured to the orange haired squid.
"What is it?" Meggy asked.
"Someone came in here earlier and tampered with Luigi's medical equipment." Nine said.
Meggy's face contorts with contempt. "Trying to find out who?" Meggy asked the female meme guardian.
"Yep." SAJ said.
Mario, Smg4, Tari, Eleven and Ten walk into the room, back from questioning Smg3. Mario's eyes widened when he saw his brother greet him. Mario goes to Luigi and the two start having a talk in their native language. Mario looks back at the girls and nods his head.
"Thanks for watching over my brother, girls. Including you, Saiko." Mario said.
"Anytime, Mario. So, was Three the one to do it?" Saiko asked.
"No, but he did say some of his stuff was stolen." Tari said.
"Meaning Smg3 was framed. He's lucky we didn't press charges." Smg4 scowled.
Eleven and Ten looked at Smg4 with worried expressions on their faces. Nine, SAJ and SAL noticed this and went towards the two.
"Hey, what's up with Four?" Nine asked.
"He ended his friendship with Three." Eleven told her.
"What, why!?" SAL exclaimed.
"Three was badmouthing Mario in front of his face, Four got angry and scolded him for his behavior and told him they're not friends anymore." Ten explained.
"Okay, I get what Three did to Mario was wrong, but Four didn't have to throw their friendship away over that." SAJ said.
"Well, it's too late, he already did. I just hope those two reconcile." Eleven replied.
"Same here." Ten agreed.
Tari looks over at Meggy and notices an orange spot on her shirt.
"Your splatgun leaking again?" Tari asked.
"Yeah, it's the third time this week too." Meggy groaned.
"At this point, just get a new one." Mario said.
"Red?" Meggy said before Mario cut her off.
"I told you not to call me that anymore." Mario scowled.
"Mario, I just wanted to say sorry for everything." Meggy said to the red Italian. Mario looks back at Meggy to see remorse reflected back to him. Mario remembered Chris' words. It'll take a while, but, maybe him and Meggy can start to repair their friendship.
