The girl woke up late, having stayed up listening to the new Dean album. As she glanced at the clock and saw it was already noon, panic set in. She hurriedly jumped out of bed, realizing she had to walk to the bus stop to get to the cat cafe, and that meant leaving earlier than she thought.

Frantically, she threw on a comfortable outfit, quickly brushing her hair and splashing some water on her face to shake off the sleep. She glanced in the mirror, admiring the outfit she had quickly pieced together. Just as she was about to head out, she felt her phone buzz in her back pocket. buzz in her back pocket.

Na Jaemin

i'm here

As she read the message aloud, she heard Jaemin's car horn honking outside. Panic surged again as she realized he was already waiting for her. "Great timing," she muttered to herself, quickly grabbing her bag and dashing out the door, hoping she wouldn't keep him waiting too long.

Sengchanh made her way to the car, opening the door and sliding in. "I didn't know we agreed on you picking me up," she said, adjusting herself in the seat.

"Don't tell me you were actually going to walk to the cafe by yourself. That's just reckless," Jaemin replied, an amused smirk on his face.

She rolled her eyes, feeling a mix of embarrassment and irritation. "I thought it would be a nice stroll. Didn't think you'd show up to play the chauffeur."

"Chauffeur? More like saving you from a bad idea," he shot back, starting the engine. "You'll get sick."

"Awh, well aren't you just so caring," Sengchanh teased, trying to lighten the mood.

"Actually, it doesn't seem too bad making you walk all the way there," he replied with a deadpan expression, making her roll her eyes again.

"Whatever you say," she said, sinking back into the seat as the warmth enveloped her.

Jaemin glanced over, a smirk still playing on his lips. "I mean, maybe I should have let you walk. It would've given me some peace and quiet."

"Right, because sitting in a car with you is so peaceful," she shot back, crossing her arms.

He chuckled, clearly unfazed. "Exactly. My company is a privilege, you know."

"More like a headache," she muttered under her breath, but she couldn't help the smile that tugged at her lips.

As they drove, she felt the familiar mix of annoyance and amusement. Maybe today wouldn't be so bad after all, even if Jaemin was being a pain.

Arriving at the cat cafe, they both stepped out of the car with their backpacks. As Sengchanh struggled with the weight of hers, Jaemin casually walked over, snatching the bag from her hands without a word. He then strolled into the cafe like it was no big deal, leaving her momentarily stunned.
