I literally just woke up and already I can tell it's going to be one of those days. Why do I say this? Because apparently sonebody had decided to prank me in my sleep and now I'm a freaking neko.
"alright. Whoever did this is getting a punch...unless...was it Wendy?"
Wendy has gotten rather cheeky ever since we started dating. This feels like the kind of stunt she would pull. If it wasn't her, then I have two other guesses as to who the culprit might be.
And then the panic suddenly decided to hit me.
"I can't be seen like this but how do I hide the tail?! I can cover the ears with a hat but the tail..."
A knock at my door startled me and sent me into panic overdrive, causing my brain to just completely shut down.
Wendy's pov
It's Halloween night and time to go trick or treating! ! I'm going dressed as a witch this year

"What do you think YN will go as, Carla?" I asked, looking down at the Exceed
"I'm unsure. Although from what I have seen, boys tend to not put as much effort into costumes as girls do. At least not the boys of the guild."
She does have a point and YN never really struck me as the dressing up kind of person. Maybe he'll surprise us....weird. He's not answering. Perhaps he's still asleep. He does have days where he just sleeps all day...I've been trying to reduce the number of those days.
Slowly opening the door, I peeked my head in and was greeted by the sight of my boyfriend with cat ears and a tail. He somehow did the impossible and got cuter.
"Awww~ you decided to go as a neko. How cute!" I fangirled.
YN's reaction was both adorable...and confusing. Adorable because he started blushing but confusing because he looked confused by my words before a look of realization hit him
"Oh! Yeah. I forgot I had them on. Must have fallen asleep without taking them off."
Oh okay so that's what the confusion was about.
"Well it goes well with my costume. A witch needs a cat" I said with a giggle as YN walked over to me.
I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before taking his hand
"Come on!" I said excitedly as I practically dragged him along
"Okay. Okay. Just calm down a little." YN said, chuckling at my excitement.
Timeskip to the end of the trick or treating because I have no idea how to make that interesting
YN's pov
Well that was more fun than I thought it would be though most of my fun came from seeing Wendy so happy but now it's time for what I'm looking for and the reason why Wendy now looked kinda pale as we stood outside a house.
"You don't have to go with me, Wendy. I'm not gonna be mad at you for not going into the haunted house." I said with a smile as I reached out and patted her on the head.
I kinda knew she'd react like this. I mean I once startled her by squeaking a rubber duck behind her when she wasn't paying attention. She's kinda easy to scare.
"N-No! I want to do this!" Wendy said with determination despite the small stutter at the beginning
"Well. Okay. If you're sure."
And so we both headed inside the haunted house. It certainly looked like a ton of effort was put into it. It looked old and abandoned with cob webs. Wendy was walking ahead of me in order to show that she wasn't scared.
Then a skeleton suddenly moved and scared her, causing her to jump back and into me, knocking us both down
"Scaredy cat~" I teased her, getting a blush and a pout from the adorable blue haired girl I call my girlfriend.
Then Wendy's eyes drifted to the cat ears atop my head and I got nervous since up close, they probably look more realistic than fake cat ears usually do.
Wendy then leaned up and gently blew into one of the ears. It flicked, my face turned a bright red, and Wendy started giggling uncontrollably.
"Oh my goodness! They're real!" Wendy said during her giggling fit.
"Wendyyyy" I whined at her, turning even redder
"Sorry. Sorry." She apologized as she tried to get herself under control.
Once she had calmed down, I told her we would talk about my situation once back at the guild. Her mood was certainly a lot cheerier as we countinued through the house...until the next jumpscare which ended painfully for me as I let out a yelp of pain.
"Wendy...you're on my tail."
Wendy's eyes widened as she got off and frantically apologized. I accepted her apology and with that, we decided it'd be best to just go back to the guild.
Once back at the guild, Wendy and I went to my room in the guild where I explained how I woke up with the ears and tail and that I have a couple guesses as to who is responsible
"Christian or Natsu?" Wendy asked
"Bingo"
Those two make the most sense. Now that we're alone, Wendy made a suggestion that I could never refuse.
"Now that we're done for the night, wanna snuggle?"
My answer came in the form of me laying on my bed and opening my arms for her to lie down in which she happily did so. I gave her a kiss on top of her head and smiled happily.
Wendy's pov
After about 30 minutes, YN ended up falling asleep which was common when we snuggle at night. Now that he was, there is something I wanna try.
Going slowly as to not wake him, I reached up towards his cat ears and began to lightly scratch them. As soon as I did, he smiled in his sleep and I heard a noise which caused me to blink in surprise before giggling.
"He's actually purring. That is adorable."
Since he'll seek to get rid of them tomorrow, I might as well do this to my heart's content. Whoever did this to him is gonna get hurt by him tomorrow but I'll find a way to thank them.
"Best Halloween Ever"
