The following week passed with an exhilarating blend of hope and apprehension. Dream found himself looking forward to his streams more than ever, not just because of the content he was creating, but because of the connection he felt with George. Each time he logged into Discord or saw George’s name light up on his phone, his heart raced with a mix of excitement and anxiety.

But amidst the thrill of their new pact, the nagging fear of unspoken feelings lurked in the back of Dream’s mind. He wanted to delve deeper into what lay beneath the surface of their friendship, but every time the thought surfaced, he hesitated, fearing that he might ruin the delicate balance they were trying to maintain.

It was Friday again, the end of another long week, and Dream was prepping for his weekly Minecraft stream. The familiar rush of adrenaline filled him as he set up his camera and adjusted his mic. The chat buzzed with anticipation, fans eagerly waiting for him to start.

As he waited for the stream to begin, Dream glanced at his phone one last time, half-hoping to see a message from George. But the screen remained dark, and he felt a pang of disappointment mixed with uncertainty. Would George reach out tonight? Did he feel the same sense of longing to connect?

Finally, he clicked the “Go Live” button, and the screen flickered to life. “Hey everyone! Welcome back to the stream!” he greeted, forcing a cheerful tone. The chat exploded with messages, fans excitedly welcoming him back and sharing their thoughts on the game.

As Dream dove into the game, he found himself in a rhythm, the familiar mechanics grounding him. He read the chat, engaged with his viewers, and felt the weight of the world lifting off his shoulders as he lost himself in the digital landscape. But as the minutes ticked by, he found his thoughts wandering back to George.

Midway through the stream, a particular message caught his attention: “What’s going on with you and George? You two seem different lately!”

Dream’s heart raced at the question. He hadn’t intended for their evolving friendship to become the center of attention, but part of him felt flattered that fans were noticing. “Oh, you know, just the usual banter,” he said lightly, trying to deflect. “George and I have always had a special connection, and we’re just trying to keep that going.”

The chat exploded with excitement. “You should totally date!” another message read. “You’d be perfect together!”

Dream’s heart raced at the thought, but he quickly brushed it off. “Haha, let’s not get ahead of ourselves! We’re just good friends,” he said, but the thought lingered in the back of his mind.

The stream continued, and while he enjoyed the gameplay, his thoughts remained tangled in the complexity of his feelings for George. He wanted to talk to him, to dive deeper into their connection, but he also didn’t want to rush anything.

As the stream wrapped up, Dream felt a mixture of relief and disappointment. He had put on a good show, but the nagging feeling in his gut reminded him that he still hadn’t addressed the heart of the matter with George.

After signing off, he quickly sent George a message: “Hey, great stream tonight! Wanna hang out tomorrow?”

He anxiously awaited a response, pacing around his room as the seconds ticked by. Finally, his phone buzzed.

“Yeah! Sounds good. What time?”

“How about 2?”

“Perfect! See you then!”

Dream felt a rush of excitement. The next day couldn’t come soon enough. He spent the evening distracted, his mind racing with thoughts of what their conversation might entail.
