AMARIA AVAIA HART 6:30 PM HOME
I shuffle through the clothes hanging in my closet, searching for an outfit to wear to Van's summer party tonight. "Polar Opposites" by Drake plays in the background and I mindlessly hum along to the melody.
"Oh, I read your last text, you're getting bold." I sing along while throwing various combinations onto the bed. I pick up a long sleeve fitted tee and try to envision an outfit with the material. It was times like this that made me wish I lived in any other state besides blistering Florida. I place it back on the rack and continue my search for an outfit for the party.
I frustratedly run my hands through my goddess braids and stare at the mess I made while searching for an outfit. I flop down on my bed and scroll through instagram in hopes that I can find inspiration on my explore page. As I reach to tap the search bar, A life banner pops up which I accidently press. I groan and wait for it to load so I can leave.
"MARI!" Mil exclaims and I watch as a join live request pops up in the live. I sit up and angle the phone to ensure only my face is showing before I accept the request.
"Hiii," I drag nervously watching the thousands of viewers begin to comment wondering who I am. Sometimes I forget that they aren't regular childish ass highschoolers and they actually have a following.
@mjwalkemdown_: damnnn namil that's all you?
@overtime: how you coming this szn mil?
@kisses444keiarah: she's not even all that forreal calm down guys.
The comments swarm with numerous mixed reactions and I feel a mug form on my face at the jealous comments. I get up and lay the phone on my bed facing the ceiling as I continue my search for an outfit.
"What you doing luh twin?" he questions while shaking his locs in the camera. I snort at his comment.
"Tryna find an outfit for Van's party" I respond. He hums in agreement and continues to mess with his locs in the camera. I hum along to my music that continues to play in the background.
"Mari I didn't know you were a Drake fan." Namil comments and I gasp.
"My love for Aubrey runs deep." I respond, propping up the phone so that the numerous posters hanging up in my room are finally revealed. He lets out an 'ouuu' and the comments fill with mixed responses.
@tinoo_: add me
Namil laughs at his comment and proceeds to add him to the live. I nervously shuffle as I wait for his face to appear on the live. When his account finally loads in, he's sitting at his desk in a wife beater with his signature chain dangling from his neck. The live view count jumps from 10k viewers to 24k in less than 45 seconds and I set my phone to only show the ceiling once again.
