We ordered pizza and spent the night talking on his hotel couch.
"Touring is so fun, I'm excited for the next tour. You get to come on the next one." He said beaming.
"Really? Where do you guys go?" I asked thinking about traveling all around with these boys. I can imagine it must be really fun. And I mean I'd have a home and from touring I would have more money for financial stability.
"Everywhere pretty much. We are wanting to do a worldwide stadium tour for our next album, so you'll get to see the world with 5 goofy guys." He said with that fantastic smile.
"Well I'm definitely looking forward to it." I said with a grin.
He continued to tell me stories about silly things him and the boys have done on tour and in rehearsals. With each story I became more and more interested with the band. I knew almost nothing about these guys, and I clearly was expected to know, I mean they were insanely popular. Lisa had done her best to educate me, but I still really didn't know. But I could tell this band meant a lot to Niall. It was a huge source of his happiness. He seemed to be the silly guy in the band, and always made everyone else cheerful when he was around. I can see now why it was hard for him to show if he was feeling down. People expect this cheerful, silly guy, and when he's not that guy, people get uncomfortable and upset.
Around 11:30 I was growing tired and wanted to go back to Lisa's.
"You seem tired, you can stay the night or go home, whichever you like." He offered. As much as I'd probably like to spend the night, I had to refuse. I didn't want to have to deal with that awkwardness.
"I'll call Lisa to come get me. Can I use your phone? I don't have mine on me." I lied. If I said I didn't own a phone that would be weird.
"Of course." He responded.

"We'll see you later tonight okay darling?" Said my Dad as he put on an overcoat.
"Okay. Theres spaghetti in the fridge right?" I asked him.
"Yup. And if you really can't find any food then call over Andy and he'll help you." Andy was our neighbor, and I always hated having to ask him for stuff. He was so awkward.
"Okay. When you get home we'll finish watching our movie right?" I asked.
"Of course." He told me with a warm smile.
"All ready?" My mom asked my dad as she walked out of her room in a business outfit. My parents worked together at a huge corporation, and they had probably the most important meeting ever today. They've been stressed all week about it.
"We'll be back soon honey. We can stop and get dinner on our way home." She said saying goodbye and hugging me.
"Okay." I said hugging her tight.
"Don't burn the house down." My dad said sarcastically. I laughed and hugged him too.
"Good luck. I know your gonna do amazing. And if things don't go perfect, then you know that you'll still have your jobs, and you'll be the best in my eyes." I said with a huge smile that made them smile immediately.
"Love you so much, sweetheart." My dad said with a huge grin.
"Love you too. Now go, your gonna be late! See you later." I said rushing them out the door.
"Love you, honey." My mom said waving. They left and I watched out the window as they drove away. I had some breakfast and then walked down to the florist that was down the street to buy some flowers for my parents. I then stopped at redbox to get a new movie for when me and my Dad finished the one we were currently watching. We liked movies a lot.
I loved my parents, we were very close. I was an only child, and we'd been through a lot together. They were super supportive of me and I knew they were the only people who'd be there no matter what.
My Dad had been married once before my Mom, with another woman named Olivia. I've met her before but I don't really like her. He has a child named Briana with this lady but she rarely visits. She's kinda snobby and rude to me. I don't really care though.
I relaxed the rest of the day and awaited my parents arrival.
-
It was 8:55PM now, almost 9. They should be home by now. I was slightly worried but, I hoped that they were just getting dinner. Maybe the meeting went overtime?
I was getting really anxious so I decided to call my Dad's cell. No answer. I called my Mom and got no answer too.
Why weren't they answering? The meeting has to be out by now, right? Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Thats just it. They' be home soon. Any minute probably.
Another 15 minutes passed. Where were they?
I heard the house phone ringing and I jumped up to pick it up. I desperately hoped it was my parents.
"Hello?!" I said waiting to hear my Mom or Dad's voice
"Alice? Its me, Olivia." My heart sunk.
"Oh.. Hello. Whats up?" I asked sadly.
"Um, how do I put this..." Why is she calling? "Honey... Something very bad has happened. Your parents got into a car crash. We don't know if their still alive or not, but you should get down here to the place of the crash now." She said. I almost dropped the phone. My eyes started stinging. No. No. No. This can't be happening. This can't be happening. Not my parents. They didn't deserve this. Their good people. They have to be alive. I immediately began crying.
"Oh my god. Where is it? I'll be there right away." I said between sobs. She gave me the name and I quickly took off in my Mom's car. We shared it since we couldn't afford one for me.
I arrived at the scene and I noticed the flashing lights and ambulances. I jumped out of the car and ran over.
"Mom!! Dad!!" I yelled searching for them. I couldn't stop crying now. My face was drenched with tears.
"Ma'am, please calm down." Said an officer.
"My parents! They were in the crash! Where are they?!" I said yelling. I was so scared, I felt like I might throw up or pass out.
"Your their daughter?" He asked me.
"Yes! Yes! Please tell me where they are? Are they going to be okay?" I said with panic. I was sobbing uncontrollably. I couldn't live without my parents.
"I'm... I'm very sorry Miss." He said gulping. After hearing those words my heart sunk. "I'm afraid that their both dead. The impact didn't kill them on command, but they just lost so much blood..." I fell to the floor in tears. I could barely breathe I was crying so much.
"No. No. No. My parents... I couldn't even say goodbye." I said bawling. I was in disbelief. I couldn't lose them. They meant the world to me. What was going to happen? Where am I supposed to live now?
"Come on Miss, its gonna be okay-" The officer began.
"No! No its not going to be okay! My parents are dead! I'm alone in this world. I can't live without them. Dad and I never got to finish our movie, Mom and I won't ever get to go prom dress shopping, my parents won't be at my wedding! Its not going to be okay!" I screamed at him. I laid down on the concrete and sobbed. Nothing could make this okay. I'm all alone now.
-
Olivia had to almost drag me home and I couldn't stop sobbing in her backseat. I was too concerned about my parents to worry about anything else right now.
She dropped me off and tried to comfort me but she's the last person I wanted comforting from.
I walked into the house and I was crying harder than ever now. I walked into my parents room and found the flowers I laid out for them on the bed with the movie I rented from redbox. I saw my Mom's half finished bag of pretzels that was left open from the last time she'd eaten them. Everything was set up perfect for them to come home, but they never would.
I cried harder then ever now. I was becoming dehydrated but I disregarded all my needs now because of my parents. I wanted them and only them. Nothing could make this better.
