I began eating my hamburger and quietly listened to the conversation around me. They talked about touring, music, albums, fans, etc. I wasn't too concerned about it. I had food, clothes, I was clean, and I was sitting on an incredibly comfy couch.

"You guys need to get started immediately on the next album. Your tour is ending and its time to start up again." Jim said almost scolding them.

"We all talked and, we want to change it up this album. Show that were maturing. The writers we have now, they just don't understand that were growing and so is our music." The boy with the black hair said. The five boys all nodded in agreement.

"I have a solution for that right here. Zayn, Louis, Harry, Liam, Niall- Meet Alice." Jim said forcing me to focus now. I looked up at the five of them and they all looked at me baffled.

"Who have you written for before?" Asked the one with the black hair. I had no idea what to say. I haven't written for anyone because I haven't even had a house for the past couple months. But I couldn't say that.

"Nobody. She's new. Despite that, she's the best writer I've come across yet. Read this." He said handing the black haired boy a paper torn from my journal. I opened my mouth in panic and annoyance when I felt Niall's hand on my shoulder trying to calm me. He gave me a trust-me-don't-do-that look and I sat back.

"Holy shit." He said. I felt my heart start beating faster and I anxiously waited for him to say something else. "Alice, this is fantastic." I blushed and smiled.

"Thank you so much." I grinned at him and he smiled warmly back at me.

They passed around the paper and each time they all told me how amazing it was. I couldn't believe it. What did this mean? Would I write for them now? Am I going to get a job working for this incredible new band?

"So boys, do we all agree we can start brainstorming with Alice on ideas for songs?" Jim said as they all nodded.

"I'm excited." Niall said with a smile. "Oh and what was the name of that song? I never saw a title anywhere." Niall asked me.

"I think that Something Great suits the song pretty well." I told him.

(4 Days Later)

I'd been staying at Lisa's house, since she'd been kind enough to offer and although Jim urged me to stay with the boys at their hotel to get to know them better, I didn't want them to know I was homeless, thats so embarrassing.
I should say something but think about it, imagine having to tell five famous teenage boys that your homeless and you need to stay with them, oh yeah and you don't have any money, clothes or food so they have to get all that for you. Not something I'm planning on doing ever.

Lisa was kind to me about it and offered to let me stay. In the four days I spent at her house we cleaned out her closet and found me some old clothes to wear that didn't fit her, and went shopping to get me some clothes. I felt bad for having her pay but when I refused she just told me it was no big deal at all. She loves clothes shopping, whether its for her or not.

I liked Lisa a lot, I didn't know if I thought of her more as a close friend, or a sort of mother. She and I quickly became close.

Maybe I got so close to her because I finally had someone who seemed to care about me and I really needed that or because I was incredibly lonely, but after those 4 days the both of us know a whole lot about each other.

I told her about my parents and what had happened to me, and she told me about how her husband left her for another woman because she wasn't making any money. But look at how successful she is now.
