"Hmm!" Yun Qianyue nodded. Yu Ning? She recalled the scene from yesterday when she got out of Rongjing's carriage and couldn't help but smile. She was an interesting person! That man was so black-hearted; it was no surprise that someone like her would like him, not knowing his true nature! She then asked, "Did you tell her that Rongjing will accompany me?"

"Ah, I forgot! Should I go tell Yu Ning right now? That the Young Master Jing is with you, so she doesn't need to accompany you?" Cai Lian was startled and quickly set down what she was holding, ready to leave.

"No need. We're all going out for fun, so let's just go together!" Yun Qianyue stopped Cai Lian.

"Miss, Young Master Jing might not like that. How could this be good?" Cai Lian hesitated, scolding herself for being so forgetful about Young Master Jing wanting to go with the miss to Nanshan. She immediately said, "Miss, with Yu Ning here, it might not be convenient for Young Master Jing and you..."

"Convenient for what? We don't have anything to hide!" Yun Qianyue shot her an eye roll, adjusting her dress and wrapping a light scarf around her arm. This time period had women wearing something like that; it was really bothersome. She had tossed it aside a few times but ultimately couldn't resist Cai Lian's nagging about how no woman would go without it. She had no choice but to get used to it. After looking in the mirror, she instructed, "Bring in the food! We need to eat to have energy for our outing!"

Cai Lian waved her hand, and Ting Yu and Ting Xue quickly brought in the food.

After finishing breakfast, Yun Qianyue stepped outside. "Let's go to the front hall and call her so we can head to Nanshan together."

Cai Lian could only pout as she followed behind, thinking that Yu Ning was better than her in every way. What if Young Master Jing...

"You little girl, you're mine! Don't go siding with others, understand?" Yun Qianyue turned back to give Cai Lian a light tap, warning her. "Especially Rongjing! You better remember. If you keep siding with him, I'll sell you off or give you to him!"

Cai Lian was frightened and quickly nodded. "I understand! I don't have the luck to serve Young Master Jing. I won't say anything in the future. Besides, everyone can see who treats the miss well; there's no need for me to say it."

This was clearly implying that only she, Yun Qianyue, was blind to it!

"Little brat! You just don't know how black-hearted he is; everyone else doesn't know either." Yun Qianyue scolded, then suddenly sighed, "Sigh, only Ye Qingran is my ally!"

Cai Lian nodded, "Young Prince Ran treats the miss very well, too."

"Hmm!" Yun Qianyue agreed this time.

The master and servant chatted as they walked out of the main house toward the front hall.

Upon arriving at the front hall, they found Yu Ning indeed sitting inside. Through the beaded curtain, Yun Qianyue saw the woman sitting upright and poised, even when no one was around. Dressed in a simple, elegant light white dress, with modest accessories that were just right—not extravagant, not showy—her beauty was gentle like water, perfectly balanced. From a distance, she looked like a faint sketch.

Yun Qianyue couldn't help but admire. Such a beauty was indeed pleasing to the eye.

"Elder Sister Yue, you've finally had enough sleep; I was so worried about you," Yu Ning said with a smile, standing up upon seeing Yun Qianyue. Her tone was teasing, but there was no impatience.

"I didn't know my sister wanted to take me out to play, so I overslept," Yun Qianyue replied, not entering the room, and waved to her. "Let's go! We need to find that weak beauty."

"Weak beauty?" Yu Ning stepped out of the room, looking puzzled at Yun Qianyue.

"Of course, it's Rongjing! He said today he would listen to my grandfather and keep an eye on me to prevent me from causing trouble. How annoying! Fortunately, you came to find me; otherwise, I'd have to stare at his face all day! Just thinking about it makes me lose my appetite!" Yun Qianyue said, feeling frustrated.

"Haha, so it's Young Master Jing you're talking about!" Yu Ning was taken aback, then covered her mouth and laughed. Looking at Yun Qianyue's annoyed face, she seemed to be sincere. "You and Young Prince Ran were too reckless yesterday, how could you cook fish at Xiangquan Mountain? Especially on a day like today when all the people in the world are praying at Xiangquan Mountain and Lingtai Temple! If you had really burned the mountain, it would definitely provoke the anger of the gods and the people, and the emperor would hold you responsible. Uncle Yun is only looking out for you. Young Master Jing is just forced to watch over you."

This implied that Rongjing was more bored watching her than she was watching him? Ugh! This woman was really too much! Yun Qianyue remained silent.

"Since Young Master Jing and Master Lingyin discuss teachings once in a lifetime, this is a rare opportunity. If he's willing to keep an eye on you and accompany you to bathe in the Buddha's light, that's a good thing. Yesterday, I felt it was very enlightening to listen in. I thought when I found out Young Prince Ran was going down today, he wouldn't be able to accompany you, so I didn't go listen to the Buddhist teachings again to accompany you. Since Young Master Jing is going to take you to Damo Hall, that's perfect. Honestly, I still want to hear the Buddhist teachings." Yu Ning added with a smile.

Looking at Yu Ning's flower-like face, Yun Qianyue didn't want to dampen her spirits, but not criticizing was not her style. She pursed her lips and said, "Then you probably won't get to hear it today. Because Rongjing isn't going to Damo Hall to discuss teachings with Master Lingyin."

"Young Master Jing isn't going to Damo Hall with Master Lingyin today? Then where is he going?" Yu Ning asked, surprised.

"Yesterday, I made an appointment with Ye Qingran to go to Nanshan to see the Crape Myrtle flowers. But that guy had something come up and canceled on me, so Rongjing said he would accompany me. I wasn't planning to go, but he said he'd make me some orchid wine, so I reluctantly agreed. So, if you still want to hear the Buddhist teachings, you'll have to go to Damo Hall to listen to Master Lingyin yourself," Yun Qianyue sighed.

"Is that so?" Yu Ning suddenly lowered her head.

Yun Qianyue watched her, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth.

Yu Ning lowered her head for only a moment before looking back up at Yun Qianyue and smiling. "Although I enjoy listening to the teachings, without Young Master Jing and Master Lingyin discussing together, it will lose much of its interest. Since I plan to spend the day accompanying you and Young Master Jing will be there, I might as well ask him about some Buddhist teachings I didn't understand from yesterday's listening session. Would you mind if I joined you?"
