"Hey, Hellooooo? Could you look up from your laptop for two seconds and be a normal human being?"
My brother Jake's bothersome voice pierced through my ears, causing a instant reaction from me after he finished speaking. I looked up from the bright screen of my laptop as it illuminated my face, my eyes rolling at his remark.
"Im sorry. Some of us actually, i don't know..."
I started, clicking my tongue as I looked around my room before landing my eyes back on his annoyed stance.
"Do our course work? Instead of whatever you do, which is basically nothing."
I snapped back to his remark slightly, giving him a smile. He scoffed and move off the door frame leading into my room which he once leaned on, rolling his eyes at my comments.
"I do my work. I just also have a social life and you don't, obviously. Anyways.."
He continued on, folding his arms across his chest.
"Sunghoon and Jay are coming over for a bit. Just thought I would let you know but it's not like you leave your room so.."
I looked away from him, nodding slowly at the mention of his friends. I knew both of them pretty well as the three had been friends since Jake was in elementary school. Jay was always kind to me, he always tried to include me when my brother would push me away from the group. I blame it partly on my parents though, even though i'm pretty sure they just wanted me to socialize with someone. Then there was Sunghoon. He always was on the colder side to me, not on purpose though, I don't think. Yet, at times he was incredibly sweet and I would even catch myself having a strange feeling when talking to him. I always pushed it to the side. Over the years though, the feeling just seemed to grow more and more whenever i'd see him. I've ruled out anything that could occur from it though, he has a new girlfriend every week and even if he didn't we'd still not work. He was my brother's best friend after all.
"Okay. Thanks for telling me I guess. Have fun."
I shrugged, not thinking much of the situation as Jake simply nodded, mumbling a small "Thanks." before he walked off out of my line of sight to his room. I let out a sigh and looked back down to my laptop, starting to continue on with the typing of my paper before my phone buzzed underneath my blanket. I glanced down, reaching my hand to pick it up only to see a notification. A text from my best friend Yeji.Yeji
