(Anahera’s pov)

Blood suddenly started pumping through my veins. I wanted to crawl away, fly, run, anything, but the restraints on my wings, arms, and legs weren’t helping. I couldn’t use my powers unless he would know I was an angel. One huge difference between angels and devils is that the people who live in the underworld are not gifted with gifts of the gods. They are gifted with sins. Lust ( Sexual desires) Gluttony ( Over eating) Pride (feeling of deep pleasure towards your own accomplishments) Sloth ( laziness) Wrath ( Uncontrolled anger) Greed ( An excessive desire for material things) and last Envy (Jealousy).

How could you tell the difference between all seven? One answer… their eyes. The irises would be pigmented with a color of an uncontrolled feeling they didn’t have a choice to get, and Angles, the purest creatures to ever exist, get the bending powers of gods. That is another reason why Angles are scared of Demons. Their uncontrolled envy towards the us. All Angels could sense it, the way their eyes beam when they see an invisible price tag taped to our wings.

But what surprised me was how he didn’t have that look in his eyes. Pride took over his emotions and caused him to stand with confidence above me. He looked HUGE from where I was kneeling, but his face, his body. He was VERY attractive, and it surprised me. He was so beautiful and didn’t compare to any of the stories about him.

“What's your name?” His voice was deep and seductive, but very polite and sweet. I opened my mouth to speak, but my throat closed up, and words never left my soft lips.

“Devil’s got your tongue, huh?” He chuckled, kneeling down to my level. His eyes stared into mine with an intensity that was hard to describe. His eyebrows lowered, almost making his expression look like he was searching…looking for answers. His lips were slightly parted with just enough space to see the fangs that rested somewhere in between his shiny white teeth. Jawline was as sharp and clean as ever, ears dull but covered in piercings, and now that I really think about it. Beautiful was an understatement.

He leaned in close to my left ear, making me tense out of reflex. I could feel his lips on my earlobe while his breath tickled it, making shivers slide down my spine uncomfortably.

“What's your name?” He asked again, but with more of a demanding tone to his voice. He waited with his nose, running against my neck as if he was smelling me.

“A-...Anahera '' I paused, clearing my clogged throat before continuing. I could feel his lips perk up into a smirk as he traveled them to my collarbone and slowly backed up to my jawline. He hummed and sighed slowly as he took in the scent of me. He removed his head from my neck and slowly opened his closed eyes. Pink was dominating over gray and would slowly take over the color of his irises.

“You are mine now Anahera” His finger tapped the chains that stuck to my wrists and ankles, showing a thick red line from how tight they were on me. My ears perked up to the sound of the chains crashing to the ground. It felt good and relaxing to finally get out of those chains. The Devil smiled, running his finger down the line of my wings, making my body jolt. My back arched in discomfort, his hands slowly ran over that one part that made me suffer.

“Stop” I wined, bending over to where my head met my knees. His hands left my wings with one swift swipe as he made his way towards my face. He lifted me back up with a hand firm on my face.

“Don’t demand things, remember who’s in charge” I nodded hesitantly and waited for him to remove his hand. He didn’t, and instead moved his hands to my wings. He traced the zip tye and slowly burned the strong plastic. I sighed, moving my wings around to adjust them. I made them smaller, slowly folding the feathers down to scale down to my body.

He tapped my chin slowly, rubbing his thumb over my cheek. His rings placed indents on where his warm hand stayed glued to as he watched me intently.

“Stand” He demanded, getting up from the kneeling position he was in. He gave me an ick, I didn’t like his energy, but I needed to obey. I stood with arms folded together in front of me, and legs slightly spread.

“Say yes, my king”

“Yes my king” I slightly mocked, causing his smirk to grow.

“Now bow” I bowed before him with a head angled towards his clean black shoes. His finger came up to my chin and slowly lifted it.

“I think Master is better”

“Why is that?” I said boldly, looking at his expression.

“Everyone calls me that don’t think you're special”He chuckled like he was enjoying this.

“I must be special if the Devil himself wants to keep me as a-” I stopped my words, not wanting to continue my sentence.

“A what?”He smiled.

“A…pet”

“Ah, you're a smart one, I see. Very quick and observant” I didn’t know what else to say. I started getting nervous around him and didn’t mind the word “pet” as much as I thought I would. His hand lowered to my wrist, grabbing it harshly. I winced at the heat that came from his hands, I didn’t expect his eyes to narrow at that. His hands removed from my wrist, almost as if he didn’t want to hurt me. He bent down, sweeping me off my feet. He did it with ease like I was lightweight.

“May I ask where we are going?” I questioned when he started walking towards a door.

“I need to mark you”

“How is that done?” I watched him smile and look down at me.

“You’ll see”
