Tang Yi had once told her about this “bright future” she had.

It was when she spotted Lisa in a newspaper agency, planning to use her to build up the reputation of the “Finance Weekly”.

Lisa graduated from the leading University of Finance and Economics in the nation, she had excellent professional experience in the field, and the girl was able to endure the hardships of being a reporter.

More importantly, Tang Yi chose her for her extraordinary beauty.

Even in this serious and impartial industry, beauty was still an excellent medium to get other’s attention.

If all these were matched together with her education and ability, she was defiantly a “royal flush”.

Therefore, she was waiting for Lisa to publish a few high-profile articles, and with the help of the Finance Weekly magazine, the two would both greatly benefit. Lisa would become a famous reporter in the area, and the magazine would gain much more publicity.

“Sure.” Lisa was too lazy to discuss this issue with Tang Yi right now. She looked down at the stack of paper that was just handed to her and asked, “What is this?”

“There is a summit in the afternoon. Go there get some content if you aren’t dying at the moment.”

Tang Yi waved at her to inform her that she can leave now. “Also, remember to prepare for the interview with the Mingyu Bank bank next week.”

This was the best part of having an oppressive boss. Lisa didn’t even have time to complain about her life before she had to put on make-up and hurry out of the building.

The summit was held in Jiang City’s new Financial Center, located beside the remote Fourth Beltway. It was just finished last year, and the surrounding areas were still in development. On the roads, other than the cars, there were almost no pedestrians.

Lisa was very familiar with this place. That was because not only did she often come here for interviews, but also because Bambam worked here.

In the past, she would always come here to wait for Bambam to get off work, and then the two of them would go to dinner or watch a movie together. After that, they would go to her favorite pastry shop to buy cupcakes.

So, now that Lisa finished listening to the entire summit, she subconsciously walked into that pastry shop.

After she realized that she was in the shop, the clerk was already greeting her with a warm smile.

Lisa took out the egg tart she would always buy, but the two red grapes decorated on the yellow cheese looked just like Bambam’s disgusting face.

Standing beside her, the clerk watched Lisa as her expression slowly turned into one that seemed like she was about to kill the tart in front of her.

“Miss, um…” the clerk said cautiously, “It’s already afternoon, so you can buy one and get one free.”

As soon as she said that, the bell on the shop’s door sounded, and the clerk quickly went to greet the new guest.

Lisa was still staring at the egg tart until she heard a familiar voice behind her.

She suddenly turned her head around and found Bambam looking at her.

Bambam was stunned while standing by the door without knowing what to do.

After a while, he turned his face away and pulled the woman beside him. “Let’s come again tomorrow.”

Only then did Lisa notice the woman beside him. Sure enough, she was the woman Lisa saw at the hospital last night.
