"Merry Christmas everyone! Can't wait to see you all at CC's party!"

Shevy's message to the group chat woke Delia up that morning and put a smile on her face immediately. She and Andy had stayed apart that night, but for the first time in the two weeks she had been home, there were no bad dreams; almost like it was a Christmas miracle. Hearing her phone go off again, she looked down at the screen to see more Christmas messages from the group be sent to the chat, she then proceeded to type her own message.

"Merry Christmas everyone. Thanks for being there when I needed you all. See you all soon."

As son as she hit send, a private message from Andy appeared through her WhatsApp messages, opening it she instantly felt herself grin.

"Merry Christmas Delia, I'll be over around 3 today and I have a little surprise planned for you. Thank you for coming into my life, you are my Christmas wish come true x"

After sending a quick message back to Andy, Delia carefully climbs out of bed. Thankfully the pain in her ribs was starting to subside, however she would be in the cast for at least another 4 weeks; that will definitely make for some fun looking Christmas photos that her mum loves to take every year, she should warn Andy about the Christmas photos. Grabbing her phone once more, she quickly types out a message to Andy to prepare him for the bombarding of photos or "memories" as her mother likes to call them.

Once Delia had changed from her pyjamas, she grabbed the small backpack she had sitting by her wardrobe that contained the presents she had bought her parents; a Christmas themed scented candle and a necklace for her mum and a new watch and a joke mug (This guy has the world's best daughter) for her dad, she and her dad always got each other at least one joke present for any gifting occasion.

"Merry Christmas Petal." Tamara smiles as Delia enters the living room.

"Merry Christmas mum and dad." Delia smiles back "I'm sorry your gifts this year aren't anything crazy, all things considered, it was hard to get the chance to properly buy for you both."

"Lia, we got our Christmas wish of having you come back home this year." Nick explains as he stands to wrap an arm around Delia's shoulders "Me and your mother were terrified we'd never see you again after what happened in Seattle."

"Now Nick, let's not make each other cry on Christmas." Tamara laughs lightly as she too stands up with her camera in hand "Now smile you two, this pose looks adorable."

"Tamara, I love you to pieces but do we really need to do these damn photos every single years?" Nick groans.

"Yes, we do, they're memories. Plus Christmas won't be like this forever, and that almost happened a few years ago..." Tamara trails off.

"Okay now you're getting depressing mum." Delia shrugs her dad's arm off her shoulders before sitting down and removing her crutches from her arms so that she could take the backpack off "How about we just open presents?"

"Right, yes, good idea petal." Tamara stutters slightly before regaining her composure "What time is Andy over today? I assume he'll be over today anyway?"

"He's said about 3, although he has a surprise planned for me, whatever that could be." Delia explains nervously; she never was one for surprises, she preferred to be in the know so that she could make plans or be able to work around ideas.

"Oh a surprise? That sounds fun." Tamara smirks adding a hint of wonder to her tone; but deep down, she knew exactly what the surprise was, Andy had gone to her in private one evening whilst Delia was in the bathroom to ask for her help in planning it.

"I hate surprises and you know that." Delia groaned.

"Sometimes surprises are the best things ever." Tamara continues to smirk "Anyway, come on, let's open presents."
