-Bakugou's POV-
I see the nerd walk out of his room, groggy. He looked like shit and was clearly in pain. It's only been four hours. I was getting more and more worried as the day went on."Hey, why aren't you in bed? You look exhausted." He just groans.
"Bad dream.." He sighed and walked to the couch, plopping down next to me.
"Are you okay? Do you need to go to recovery girl or something?" He shook his head.
"No, I'm fine." He clearly wasn't.
"Don't give me that load of absolute bullshit. You were passed out in the old man's arms, covered in fucking blood and bruises. You had one of those panic attacks again after a year. Oh! And you refused to go to bed. What the fuck happened?" He immediately tenses, clearly not wanting to speak. He shakes his head.
"It wasn't a yes or no question." He shakes. His hands grip his shirt tightly. I see his lower lip quiver as he holds back tears. He breaks into harsh sobs. I mean, I didn't think the tickle monster gave him a tickle-attack, but jeez. I wasn't expecting this reaction. He doesn't even try to hold in his sobs, knowing he can't. He was not okay.
"Hey, calm down." He was trying, I honestly don't know why I said that. I scooted closer to him.
"C'mere." I gestured for a hug. He sobs into my arms with zero hesitation. He wailed loudly into me. I didn't mind at all. I just wanted him to feel better. He forced his tears to stop. He harshly tugged away, swallowing the lump in his throat.
"Sorry." His voice was monotonous. I sighed.
"Don't be sorry, just- just tell me what's going on!" He looked at me, shocked.
"You're so weird lately. Everyone is noticing- and then you walk in here with a bunch of bruises and shit! I'm worried, the class is worried, the teachers are worried, and even the heroes you work with are super concerned!" He looks down, nervously wringing out his hands.
"Can you please tell me what happened last night?" I noticed tears in his eyes.
"My mom- she.. She got mad at me. She wouldn't stop hitting me.. I- I ran the second I had the opportunity. And I- I wasn't in a good part of town. I was so tired, I couldn't walk anymore. I was dizzy, so I- I sat down by like, the curb. And some-.." He took a moment to collect himself.
"Someone came up and he like- he picked me up and stuff. When I woke up, I was in an alley. He didn't- he didn't have any clothes on.. He didn't listen when I said to- to stop. He didn't- he didn't listen." He was softly crying. Tears slowly dropped down his face. I sat there and tried my best to process the information.
"I'm- I'm so sorry. I'm so, so, so sorry." He shakes his head, wiping his tears away.
"No, I'm- it's fine, I'm used to it by now. I guess it was just scarier cause he could've like- I don't know, killed me? Hah." He chuckles a bit. I wasn't laughing at all. I was fuming. Not at him, at everyone else though.
"What the hell do you mean by that?" He shut away from the conversation, not wanting to discuss anymore.
"I'm serious. What do you mean by that?" He looked down, searching for excuses. I knew him well enough to know he wasn't going to just tell me. I sighed, pulling him into a hug.
"Please?" I heard him sniffle.
"It- M-my dad, he-" He broke off, unable to speak. He didn't want to continue and that was all the information I needed. I held him closer to me. More for my comfort than his.
"Have you told anyone?" He shrugged.
"Kinda. I don't wanna talk anymore, please." I just nodded and hugged him. I wasn't going to pressure him into talking.
