IT—was a crisp October night. Leaves swirled through the air as the fresh night breeze carried them along, filling London’s bustling streets with a sense of warmth and romance as people rushed by.
Halloween had always been Nia’s favorite holiday, but this year felt different.
The blonde was supposed to attend the biggest Halloween party at her university, but this time, she wouldn’t be going alone.
Her best friend, Thomas, had been asking her on a date for weeks, and she had finally agreed—boldly, without knowing what to expect.
Her sleek, golden hair caught the wind, sending hints of her floral perfume through the city, turning heads as she passed.
When she stepped into the cozy café where she and Thomas had first met, she was greeted by the comforting aroma of coffee and freshly baked pastries. Her vibrant blue eyes sparkled in the warm LED lights as they scanned the room.
The moment she spotted Thomas, her smile softened into a warm grin, which made his heart melt as he watched her approach.
She wore a red velvet dress paired with Doc Martens, a black leather jacket, layered jewelry, and headphones resting casually around her neck.
They greeted each other, taking their seats in white spiral chairs adorned with cobwebs and pumpkins for Halloween.
“It’s great to see you, Nia,” Thomas said, his eyes twinkling as he leaned forward slightly. “I just hope this doesn’t feel awkward. To be honest, I’ve never had a date with someone as beautiful, inside and out, as you.”
“Oh, Thomas, not at all,” Nia replied, her smile widening. She took his cool, veined hands in her smaller ones, tracing gentle circles over his knuckles as she looked up at him. “In fact, I’m glad you finally asked me out.”
As the evening unfolded, the tension between them filled the now-empty café, laughter flowing easily between them, as if they’d known each other forever.
The last thing Nia remembered was the cool night air brushing their faces as they stepped out of the shop. They shared a lingering gaze as snowflakes began to fall, drawing soft chuckles and warm smiles.
And as their eye contact deepened, so did their closeness.
Snowflakes settled around them as their lips met, binding them in a moment that was as delicate and fleeting as the snow, and yet somehow, felt infinite.
