Azzi Jazlyn Fudd | Greensboro, North Carolina
"PAIGEEEEEEEEE!" Azzi groaned, throwing her pillow at her best friend.
Paige threw the pillow back, hitting Azzi in the arm, "YOU DO! if I ask anybody else, they're gonna say the same thing!" The blonde haired girl, leaned onto the wall of the hotel room. Just as Azzi was about to speak, someone was knocking on the door.
Paige shuffled over to the door, unlocking and opening it. "Perfect! Just in time." P moved to the side so the person could walk in. "I have a question to ask you." She said, side-eyeing Azzi who sat on the bed with a displeased look on her face.
"What?" Their friend/ teammate Kk said going to sit down on the bed she had chose to sleep in for their trip. "So say you have this friend and you see them watching this girl's instagram story on replay and scrolling through their page all the time, do you think they like them?"
Kk smacked on her chocolate covered strawberries, "Mmmm, yea. It's definitely giving you gotta' crush."
Paige's eyes bulged and she pointed towards her best friend who was still sitting on her bed. "SEEE! I TOLD YOUUUUU!"
Kk closed her Tru Fru bag, chewing the rest of her fruit. "Hold up, Azzi is was talking about you?" Azzi rolled her eyes and lifted herself up from her bed. "No, I don't know who she was talking 'bout." She lied.
Bueckers smacked her lips and turned towards the shorter girl who currently had her hair braided with twist. "Yes she do 'cause I'm talking about her."
Kk's face turned up with a happy grin. "THE AZZI FUDD HAS A CRUSH! OH MY GOSH!" Arnold yelled, jumping up and down.
Azzi could feel her cheeks heating up, "It's not me! I don't have a crush on anyone. Now leave me alone. Shouldn't we be heading downstairs to leave in a few minutes anyways?"
Bueckers gave Azzi a look before un-plugging her phone and putting her charger in her backpack. "I'm gonna let it go for now, but you and I both know you like herrrr." Paige said as she walked past Azzi and out the door behind Kk.
Fudd took a minute to calm herself down from the interrogation she felt like she just had. She double checked the room, making sure no one left anything. She walked outside the room, seeing Kk and Paige waiting for her. "Where's your suitcase?"
"I already took it down earlier." Kk replied, opening the blue bag and leaning it towards Paige so she could get a covered strawberry.
"Your hair is cute." Kk voiced, glancing at Azzi's hair. "Thanks!"
The three girls walked towards the elevator. The blonde pressed the down button and they all waited for the lift to stop at their floor. Once the elevator dinged and the doors opened, the girls all walked on. Small chatter and laughs were echoed through the machine.
"Finally, you took longer than five minutes." Aubrey said, hands folded over her chest. "Girl boo, don't make me beat you up like last time." Kk argued and pushed past Aubrey. Aubrey Grifin's mouth fell open as she was shocked,
"Mcht." Aubrey smacked her teeth and turned on her heels. She walked over to where Jana and Sarah were standing.
"Alright guys! Grab your stuff and let's go board the bus. Make sure you leave nothing behind!" Coach Daily yelled. Everyone looked around, some un-plugging their devices. The team grabbed their belongings before heading out of the building. The team bus was waiting out in front for them.
One by one, they all boarded the bus. Azzi sat in the back by Ice, Kk, Paige, and Morgan.
They weren't even ten minutes into the drive when Kk and Ice started to argue.
"I did not even do that." Ice rebutted. Kk turned sideways in her seat, "YES YOU DID!" I felt the water drop on me."
They were all laughing and snickering in the back at them. These two couldn't go twenty-four hours without arguing.
"Don't act like you and Paige dont be getting into it." Kk snapped, head turning around to look at Azzi and Paige. "We don't!" Paige defended.
"We really don't." Fudd added.
"Yea cause I'm always right. There be no need to argue." Azzi's eyes slowing shifted over to the blonde who was sitting next to her. "Don't go getting a big head now cause you are not always right."
"Yea, yea, whatever." Azzi slightly rotated her body to the side, "Don't you have homework to do?" Bueckers eyes widened and she slapped her hand over her mouth.
"YOUR RIGHTTTTT! Let me lock in and do that cause it's due tomorrow I think."
Now it was Ice and Kk's turn to snicker. Morgan payed no attention to them. She was scrolling on TikTok.
A couple of minutes later they arrived to the airport. Everything was taken off and given to its respective person. The team made a stop at the bathroom before going to check in.
After, they went to the TSA line. This was literally the worst part of it all. Azzi hated going through this. The TSA people were always rude for no reason at all, she thought.
"Can you hand me my phone?" Paige asked. The curl haired girl stared at her phone sitting in the grey tub. "No." She started to walk forward and was to busy on her own phone and didn't see that Paige had stuck her foot out to trip her.
Fudd lost her balance for a second and turned around to hear her friend laughing her ass off. She rolled her eyes and turned back around. She walked away from the pick up area and to where everyone else was standing.
"You shouldn't have been mean to me." She heard.
Azzi pushed Bueckers shoulder as she was still smiling. "The flight leaves in an hour so feel free to go get food and stuff, but be back on time!" Coach said, warning them with his emphasis on the last words.
Nods and 'okays' were used as they responded.
The team dressed in their all blue tracksuits, walked around the airport. Azzi was such a sucker for souvenirs. Every time they traveled to a new place she'd get something to take back.
But since they'd been here before, she didn't get herself anything. Instead she got her siblings something. "Guys, she's at it again!"
Azzi already knew who it was. "Madison go find someone else to bother." She heard a whine before hearing footsteps come beside her. "But you're my best friend. I'm supposed to bother you."
Fudd released a huff, "Well go find another best friend or something." Paige gave Azzi a death nearing side hug. "I'll leave you alone Jazlyn." And with that, the blonde trotted away, going across the building to the store where her other teammates were.
As Azzi thanked the girl and grabbed her receipt the team started calling her name. "Come on! We're going to chipotle!" Kk Arnold yelled.
Azzi sped walked over to them before they all went to go get something to eat.
