Ryu and Natsu sat in a small, cozy café, the soft clinking of spoons against coffee cups providing a soothing backdrop to their conversation.
"Please say yes," Ryu pleaded, his eyes filled with hope. "Only you can save me now."
Natsu sat quietly, his arms crossed, his eyes closed in contemplation. After a long moment of silence, he finally spoke. "I will," he said, his voice flat and emotionless.
Ryu's eyes lit up with excitement. "You will?" he exclaimed, his voice filled with joy.
Natsu nodded, his expression unchanged. But inside, a silent battle raged. "I need a job anyways," he thought to himself, a flicker of determination passing through his eyes.
Ryu's happiness was palpable. "You're the best!" he declared, his enthusiasm overflowing. He stood up and headed towards the counter to order cake for them both.
Left alone, Natsu gazed out the window, his mind racing. "Manager, huh?"
