6. CHANGE IN THE AIR 🌬️

Dhruv Pov

I was having my breakfast when mom spoke up

" Dhruv it's time for you to get married and I have some good proposals waiting f-"

" I'm not interested mom" I say clenching my jaw

" Why ? " She asks being irritated

" Mom try to understand that I need time " I don't think I can love anyone else after jiya. I'm not ready to again lose someone else

I sigh " please mom I'm sorry" I say and get up, go to my room

I entered the room with my hands shaking, looking at jiya who was smiling weakly in the hospital bed.

" I-i don't th-hink so-o i-i can live-e anymore-e, I love-e you-u dhruv-v" she whispered

I control my tears and wipe her tears

" Shh .. no baba you will live and -"

" No-o dhruv-v I know about my condition please-e promise me that you will move-e on-n after my death-h"
That was enough for me to break down

" Please-e don't stop yourself from experiencing love-e again-n I want you to be happy with wife and kids even if it's not me-e " sobs left her mouth

I hugged her tightly

" No jiya no I can't even imagine anyone else who-"

" Please-e promise on me " she said my heart broke into millions of pieces

I took a deep breath
" I promise you jiya I will move on but I'm sure it's impossible because no one else can love me like you do and nor can I love " I said and she smiles kissing my hand

" You should move on and love someone-e else find happiness-s " she said and took a deep breath and then ....

" JIYA !!!!!!!"

I wipe my tears and look at the sky

'I miss you jiya, it's been 4 years but see no one has ever made my heart thump like that way
But I'm trying to move on, and I will move on only when I feel my heart pounding the same way it did for you'

I say and was about close the window when my eyes fell on Isha.
My eyes were blurry with tears and I didn't want to speak with anyone and wanted to be alone so I did the only thing that came to my mind and closed my window.

I wanted some time for myself so I packed my bags for a short trip.
I booked train ticket for Bangalore tonight..

I informed mom and dad who said to take care. I took their blessings, and left

I reached the station few minutes early and then was in search of my seat. Once I got I settled myself after keeping my bags safely. I closed my eyes and plug in my earpods listening to music.

" Excuse me sir ? You are sitting in my seat " I heard a voice and looked at the person

" Oh I'm sorry ma'am the other one is mine, you can have your seat" I say and sat on my seat

She dialled someone and within minutes she left and other girl came and sat there saying the girl who said earlier.

" I'll sit here that's fine you sit with vihaan"

The voice sounded familiar. I shrugged it off

" Isha take care " the other girl said and went

Isha ? I snap my eyes and saw the moon lover sitting infront of me, dressed in black kurti top and white pants, her jhumkas matching her style, hair tied in bun.

She felt my gaze and the moment she saw my face she froze and a beautiful smile adorned her face

" Aap-p ?" She said

" Ji mein !" I say with a smile

" You are also going Bangalore?" She spoke

" Isn't it's obvious since our train goes to the same destination " I say and she click her tongue

" Hehe ... Sorry " She laughs awkwardly and

" And yeah I'm going to Bangalore, you are going alone ?" I ask her

" No-o, my friends deeksha and vihaan are with me but seats got booked in different so ..." She said and I nod
She kept opening and closing her mouth as if thinking whether to ask me something or not

" Go ahead ask whatever is in your mind Isha" I say and she smiles

" Umm.... Were you angry with me morning? I mean I waved seeing you but you ignored me ... So kind of ... " She spoke with low voice

Oh guess I didn't notice her

" No I didn't ignore you and I'm not angry also. It's just that I was lost in my thoughts nothing else Isha " I said with a small smile

" Oh ... Thank God !" I heard her sigh

" Had your dinner?" I ask her .

" Yes what about you Dhruv ?" She spoke

I felt my heart was pounding like anything.

" Huh?"

" Did you have your dinner Mr. Dhruv?" She said and again my name the way she calls it's .... Like something I haven't experienced in years

" Yeah-h" I stutter

What's happening with me !?

" Unfortunately today we both will not be able to gaze the moon " she says with chuckle and my heart skip a beat

I shrug of these weird sensation

" Yeah " I say trying to avoid looking into her eyes which were trying to search something in it. ..

" But atleast we can speak till we reach I guess ?!" She says

" Well I don't mind " I say

She shivers when rain starts pouring out.

" Maybe before that you need to keep yourself warm first " I say and hand her my coat which was beside me

Her cheeks turned red and eyes wide. She smiled it was reaching her eyes and took the coat from my hand.

" Thanks Dhruv ji" she said and I smile at her words ..

I can feel something is changing!
Is it the air ? Or the climate?
But I know one thing I'm not gonna keep my past and let myself free to fulfill the promise I made jiya.
I have decided to move on and let life give me a second chance in love-e

I smile
" What are you thinking and smiling?" Isha asked me brining me out of my thoughts

" Nothing Isha" I answer her still smiling and she too smiles
