Viraje leaned against a gnarled oak tree, its ancient bark rough against his back, grounding him in a world where the weight of destiny felt particularly heavy. Clad in a simple black T-shirt and jeans, he blended seamlessly with the mortals around him. The divine relics he possessed felt like burdens he carried in a realm where few could comprehend their significance.

Around him, the park was alive with the sounds of laughter and play. Families sprawled on picnic blankets, children darted about in a game of tag, and couples strolled hand in hand, soaking in the warmth of the sun. It was a picturesque day, and for a moment, Viraje felt a sense of normalcy—a fleeting escape from the gravity of his reality.

As he scanned the area, his gaze landed on Asriel, who was perched on a low stone wall, his wings concealed beneath a casual jacket. The archangel's son exuded an aura of calm, but today, a flicker of worry marred his usual serene demeanor. Asriel watched the children play, a wistful smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "It's good to see them so carefree, isn't it?" he remarked. "They have no idea what darkness lurks just beyond their little bubble."

Viraje pushed himself off the tree and sauntered over, his curiosity piqued. "It is good, but it also feels precarious. These moments remind us of what we're fighting for—a world where children can play without fear."

Just then, Celesta joined them, her flowing dress adorned with natural motifs that hinted at her ethereal origins. Her long, dark hair danced lightly in the breeze as she approached, and her radiant smile brought a sense of peace. "It's beautiful, isn't it?" she said, taking in the scene around her. "Life thrives in these small moments."

"Beautiful and fragile," Viraje replied, a hint of gravity lacing his words. "But we can't forget the storm brewing on the horizon. The balance of power is delicate, and we need to prepare for whatever comes next."

Asriel leaned back, contemplating the world before them. "But let's not dwell on dark thoughts just yet. We're here to enjoy ourselves, remember? How about we play a game? A little distraction might do us good."

Viraje raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What do you have in mind?"

"How about a classic?" Asriel suggested, a playful grin breaking across his face. "A game of tag. You two against me."

Celesta laughed, her voice light and melodic. "You think you can outrun us, Asriel? With your wings hidden away, you're just another mortal."

Asriel smirked, his competitive spirit igniting. "You underestimate me, Celesta. I may not have my wings right now, but I've got speed and agility on my side."

Viraje stepped forward, a gleam of mischief in his eyes. "Then it's settled. Tag it is! But don't go easy on us just because we're friends."

They took their positions, and Asriel counted to ten, the anticipation building as Celesta and Viraje exchanged glances, each determined to outsmart the other. When Asriel shouted "Go!" he launched into a sprint, and the game began.

Laughter echoed through the park as they dashed between trees, dodging picnic blankets and leaping over benches. Asriel was fast, weaving skillfully through the throngs of park-goers, but Viraje and Celesta were quick to adapt, working together to corner him.

"Keep him distracted!" Viraje shouted, and Celesta nodded, her spirit ignited by the challenge. She darted to one side, forcing Asriel to turn and follow her, giving Viraje the chance to sneak around the other way.

With a burst of speed, Viraje lunged forward, tagging Asriel's arm. "Got you!" he exclaimed, his heart racing with excitement.

Asriel laughed, feigning defeat. "Alright, alright! You two win this round. But don't get too comfortable. I'll get my revenge!"
