Chapter 16

He holds the door knob, firmly, his hood getting extremely wet from being outside too long. Thunder starts rumble. I need your help devil.

11:58. It was close, Kyle looked away from clock and looked down, letting his tears falling down.

It was his 2 last minutes of his goodbye to this world, maybe something wouldn't be stopped from his final exception.

He exhaled heavily, his grip turned strong, the door knob was feeling hot. He turns the door knob to the other sides to wiggle it out. After many attempts. It melted.

11:59. Just one more minute. One more. Kyle closed his eyes and exhaled quietly. Waiting for it to hit exact midnight.

He lets go of the doorknob and push the door open. It made a loud sound but atleast he got inside. He quickly went up the stairs and peaks every room to find Kyle's one, panicking in the inside.

He then bursts into the last room in the corner, Kyle shots his head up and the two of them made eye contact in shock. Kyle got angry someone disturb him.

"Hey, get ou-" He forgot where he was, he lost balance on the chair and it tilted down to the floor. He choked, unexpected turn from his attempt.

"F-fuck! He-lp!" He tried restraining his tone, kicking his legs and loosing his oxygen fastly.

Galio panicked, getting the chair and stood on it, he could've find scissors in time he just had to do what he'd done to that knob. He gripped the rope that's hanging, heating it up fast.

Kyle was feeling something burning behind him, he had to turn around. After the huge tense what's like taking forever, Kyle fell to the ground, breathing heavily.

He removed the rope around his neck and feel himself completely traumatized with his dark idea.

Galio stand off from the chair and kneeled Infront of him, the bruise on his neck was red.

Footsteps then be heard going to Kyle's room, it was his mother.

"What happened?!" She said in horror, analyzing the room and went up to Kyle. Galio goes away from him to let the mother hug his son in fear.

"Kyle what we're you thinking?! You could've told me!" His mother said, breaking down to sobs. It was 12:03 his plan failed, he felt horrible but upset it didn't happen.

It's cold and loud, the two of them run to Kyle's house. In their hoodies with with hood up to hide from the heavy rain. Once they made it, they climbed to fence and tried opening the front door. It was locked.

"Dang it! It's locked!" Jane yelled quietly, looking at Guienivere. Guienivere looked up at the window, hearing some fainted sobs. It was Ms. Schimidts.

"Jane, Ms. Schimidts is crying!" Guienivere said to Jane, she looked at her in shocked.

"What?! Shoot, we had to get inside quickly!" Jane took Guienivere wrist again as they dash out to the front and went to the back. Surprisingly, on their way there the back door was left wide open, the rain was getting inside.

"What the... Someone must've got in!" Jane yelled, looking at the missing door knob.

"The door knob is gone.." Guienivere mumbled quietly, it cannot be heard. Jane went inside first and Guienivere quickly followed. They went their way upstairs leaving wet trails from their rain boots.

They went to the scene and seen three figures. Kyle, Ms. Schimidts and... Galio.

"Wh- Galio, you went here first?" Jane said in confusion, then turning her head to Kyle was and went up to him.

"Kyle dude! What the heck happened??" Jane in fear aswell. Guienivere followed and hug his other side.

Kyle didn't dared to speak, he only looked down not making eye contact with anyone. Ms. Schimidts, lifts her head out of Kyle's shoulder and looked at the two girls.

"Girls, would you mind leaving the house for me and Kyle to have a chat?" Ms. Schimidts said, sniffling. Jane and Guienivere looked at each other and nodded.

"Of course. Also uh, your back door is broken..." Jane said softly, standing up.

"Don't worry I'll fix that later." Ms. Schimidts said and caresses Kyle's cheek. Jane nodded again and went away to the two from their chat.

"Hey, let's go." Jane said to Galio, who's just standing there at the scene. She took his wrist as the three of them went out of the room.

When the three made it outside, it was quiet but atleast the rain stopped. The only sound they're making was splashes from the puddles. Jane was the first one to speak up.

"What did you do to Kyle?" She said but didn't looked at him. Galio glanced at her and looked away.

"I saved him." He spoke blankly.

"From what?" Jane finally turns her head to him.

He continued walking silently, Jane got impatient and forget about it aswell as they walk home individually.
