Feelings: Emotionally sensitive. Emotional state or well-being.

By the next day the was pictures and news spreading around the department of Vera and Edwin debating whether the two were dating and how they looked so good together.

Dumb perceptions and assumptions. Vera hated that people did not know better. Just because she had one conversation with him did not mean anything. This was why she never really liked humans. They never thought twice about things and just did or say whatever it was they felt like with no remorse whatsoever.

"I'm sorry does that even make sense?". Vera asked Edwin. They were on a call with each other. They had started texting last night. The whole night like star crossed lovers. A decision Edwin had pondered before sending that first 'hi'.

"Of course it doesn't, that's just some dumb opinion on things that doesn't even concern them". He told her, he was working, tapping away on his PC but could not deny her call when he saw her name flash on the screen.

"This is what I told you about humans, very nosy people". Vera was on her bed, still in her pajamas of a tube top and silk knickers. Her hair still covered with a bonnet. Of course she had eaten breakfast and of course she had brushed her teeths but everything else was left for later.

"I get you though. But not everyone thinks that way".

She flipped over to her side, her hand supporting her chin. "Well like you apparently".
She did not mean for her voice to take a deep and sound so flirtatious.

Edwin grinned. "Well thank you, I'm glad I wasn't a big disappointment".

"Well it's too early for me to know and decide if you are indeed someone to be friends with".

"Oh? So we are not friends yet?".

"Yep". She nodded even though she knew he couldn't see her.

"Well that's shocking I'm pretty sure I spewed all of my life's secret to you last night".

"Pfft as if you'd ever do that...boys are so secretive".

"I thought it was the other way around".

"Well I strongly believe if a guy wants to keep a secret he'd keep it and wouldn't feel the need to spew to a soul regardless of who it was but a girl on the other hand would definitely tell her best friend".

"And for someone who does not have one how do you know this?"

"I know things".

"Uh huh, yeah right".

"Seriously it's true".

"I never said it wasn't".

"Well you insinuated that I had no idea what I was talking about".

"I did not even say anything".

"But you thought it?".

"Maybe".

This went on for about three more days. They'd call each other everyday and would talk and banter for hours on end. It was seriously a cute scene to watch if you were hoping to see something that looked like two young adults falling in love.

The morning of school though, Vera wasn't feeling it. When she came out of her room, she felt like she needed a breather.

"Good morning mummy, good morning daddy". She greeted as she noticed the pair seated in the dining area.

"Morning baby". Her father replied, he was sipping on a cup of coffee and going through his phone.

"Morning, what is wrong with you?". Her mother asked, her gaze set in thought because she raised her child and she knew when she was in one of her moods. She placed her husband's meal in front of him and watched Vera trot into the kitchen and reappear holding a tray containing her covered meal.
