First Day Of Snow[Sonadow]

Chapter 1

Author's POV
"C'mon, cream. It's time for bed time" The azure hedgehog called out to the female bunny who is holding her Chao, cream chuckled happily and climb on her bed. The azure hedgehog made sure that cream is comfortable and won't fall from her bed this time. He tucked her in the blanket and turn the night light on

"Mr. Sonic? Can you tell me a story?" Cream asked before sonic could exit her room, she look at him with plead in her big eyes knowing that the hero couldn't possibly say no

"A story? Hmmmm...sure! What story do you want me to read?" The azure hedgehog ask in curiosity as he sat on the edge of cream's bed.

The female bunny grab a book from her bedside table and handed it to the hero excitedly, she got comfortable once again and waited for sonic to read it. The azure hedgehog raised a brow at cream's choice of story book

"first day of snow?... isn't this a bit too complicated to understand for your age?" The hero spoke with uncertainty in his tone and a hint of amusement, for a kid like cream to be interested such books is rare

"I'll try to understand, Mr. Sonic" The female bunny responded with desperation in her tone, wanting to know what the story is about

Seeing the desperation in her eyes made sonic smile and chuckle. He nodded in understanding before opening the book, he cleared his throat and began to read.

A long time ago, a hero saved a small village called Periwinkle village, a beautiful village that is full of grass and harmony where people continue to roamed for almost 400 years. However, the village is unguarded which makes a perfect target for feral beasts to satisfy their starvation with human flesh.

Every passing moons, the number of people have decrease in the village, while the monsters within have increased and scattered around the area.

All the neighboring villages were left abandoned, destroyed, and burnt to the ground with nothing left. Periwinkle village was the only village that had survived, before anything could harm them, a hero came to annihilate the cruel beasts.

After his heroic save, the village cheered in victory, thanking the hero for saving their village and offered him gold, jewels, silvers, and everything that they have left and digged in their mines. However, the hero refused and offered himself to be a teacher in the village instead, not just for knowledge but to also train the men so they can fight the beasts if he's not present. The villagers were skeptical and puzzled but they trusted the hero.

Few years went by, the men in the village have grown strong and more smarter thanks to the hero's training, the people have increase due to the hero's reputation and the individuals who have escaped from their villages that were now destroyed came to live in periwinkle village. The village have grown fond with the hero and just by watching him fight made them confident about themselves and his boosting words.

Everything was going well, not until one night. A terrified scream was heard from the distance that woke the hero up, he quickly got up from his bed and ran to the source holding his sword in his hand, he eventually stopped in his tracks upon seeing something horrifying. It was a beast, but not just any normal beasts, this beast is much more bigger than the rest.

The screamed came from the little girl who was on the ground with a horrified expression plastered on her face, the hero immediately got Infront of the little girl with his sword shielding Infront of her. The hero's emerald eyes glared at the beast as he prepared himself to fight but something in him felt like stopping, everything feels wrong. The beast was still and his deadly crimson eyes were filled with tears, this made the hero puzzled and shock. It was the very first time he saw a beast shed tears.

Eventually, the horrifying beast turn around and ran back to the dark forest before the hero could do anything. This left the hero confused and a bit curious to gain the knowledge of what kind of beast he just encountered-

The azure hedgehog stopped reading as he noticed that cream have already fallen asleep. The hero smiled softly and quietly glance back at the book, it was somehow familiar to him and he felt a little intrigued to not finish it. He flipped the next page and before he could continue to read, the two tailed kit called out to him

"Sonic! Can you come here for a bit? Hurry!" Tails called from downstairs with a bit of a panic in his voice. The hero place the book down at cream's bedside table and ran downstairs

"What's wrong??" Sonic asked in confusion. As he stepped on the wooden floor, he froze in place. His eyes widen in shock he couldn't believe what he is seeing

"snow?..."
