First Day Of Snow[Sonadow]

Chapter 2

Sonic's POV
I couldn't believe my eyes, there was snow outside tails's workshop in the middle of November. I approach the window and thought l was dreaming just by seeing the snowflakes falling from the sky, l took a glance at tails besides me who had the same expression as me, confused and surprised.

"Isn't it too early for snow to fall? It's only November" I asked, grabbing my phone from my pocket and took a recheck with my phone calendar to confirm that it was indeed still November "snowing in November isn't normal at all" my little bud answered my question

"But more importantly...where are we?" My little bud added which got me to lift my head up from my phone and raised a brow in confusion at him, l turn my head to look at the window once again and my eyes widen. How did l not notice? The outside looks different, it look more like a countryside than the city of Mobius we usually lived in "what in chaos is going on?...." I muttered to myself in shock

The place is covered in snow but l could only make out a few details outside since it was so dim and dark there are, big rocks, trees, houses, a lake that turned to ice, and lit candles inside the houses. "It looks like a village, l should go and find out where we are"

Author's POV
The two tailed kit's eyes widen in surprise at the hero's sudden words on volunteering to investigate where they are, he watch as the blue hero grab his red stripped scarf, a jacket and a flashlight.

"Are you sure about this, sonic? We can always wait in the morning" The little kit replied in concern, trying to get the blue hero to change his mind, but his emerald eyes showed determination which made the two tailed fox to stay quiet.

He sighs in defeat as he nodded his head in understanding "alright then, but make it quick. We don't know what these people are capable of doing"

The azure hedgehog smiled at his best friend's words, grabbing that piece of knowledge that the little kit trusted him. He nodded his head before heading out, he stepped out from tails's workshop and began to walk towards the houses that still had their candles on.

Despite having his scarf and jacket on, it wasn't enough to warm his sensitive body "ugh..l hate cold" he mumbled in annoyance. He held the flashlight while his free hand rub his arm for warmth.

As he got closer to one of the houses he knock on the door hoping for someone to answer, he waited patiently until his ears perked up hearing footsteps inside the house.

The door opened revealing a man who had a blanket over his shoulders, and wore a white shirt then blue faded pants. The man had a beard and his eyes were dull and had a pretty brown colored eyes

"Hello, l was hoping if you could tell me what this place is" the blue hero ask politely

The man raised a brow at the azure hedgehog standing Infront of his doorstep, he noticed what the blue hero is wearing before letting out a scoff of annoyance that was visible for the hedgehog to see "periwinkle village"

"Thank you, si-" the azure hedgehog paused, realizing what the man just said 'periwinkle village? The one from the book?' he thought to himself, even more puzzled by the situation.

"Periwinkle village? May l ask..what year is today?" Sonic asked in slight dread, hoping it couldn't be it

"have you hit your head? It's the year 1574, if you're asking for the date then l don't know, goodbye" the man answered, displeased by the hedgehog's presence. He slammed the door in Sonic's face which made the blue hero to blink blankly in slight irritation "l was only asking, geez- wait- 1574!???!!"

Sonic's POV
"1574?...that means...uhh- ughhh!!! l hate math! But l know it's around 400 years ago-...l gotta tell tails-" l mumbled to myself. Everytime l step on the snow filled ground it always got my foot to sink in, giving me a struggle to use my speed

I hurried back to where the workshop is, l held the flashlight tightly in my hand as l made my way to tails "tails! You're not gonna-" my words were cut short upon seeing that my best friend's workshop where l came out from is gone "tails? Bud? Don't do this to me little buddy- tails!! Cream??? Amy!!!- l might as well call knuckles at this point-"

'cmon, sonic. Think, you're all alone on your own in a place called Periwinkle and the workshop you just came out from disappeared- what should l do- wait! The story! right- okay uh- a hero- oh yeah! I should find the hero of periwinkle village, maybe he can help me!' l thought to myself

Then a cold wind brushed against my fur making me shiver "l should find him fast or l'll freeze to death"
