You got out of Dewey Riley's police car as the flashes from a dozen cameras filled your eyesight. When you told your parents you wanted to go to school Monday they refused immediately, but they knew that you wanted to go back to your normal life. You survived once, you would survive a second time you told them.

Not entirely convinced they shook their heads at you, but when Tatum, your closest friend after Casey, called after she found out from her brother what had happened and offered a ride to school, you almost jumped up in excitement. Your parents also felt much calmer knowing that you would get escorted by an armed police officer, so they agreed to let you go to school.

Now however you regretted it. The round black cameras and microphones were shoved into your face as you made your way towards the school's entrance. Many questions were thrown at your head. How did it feel to be almost brutally killed? Are you afraid even in your own house? Did you think the killer would come back for you?

To be honest you asked yourself those questions ever since you woke up in the white hospital bed, surrounded by police officers and nurses who constantly checked your vitals. You didn't know. To you, it was still so surreal.

You lowered your gaze to the ground as both Tatum and Dewey did their best to shove the cameras and reporters away. Sidney Prescott, another friend of yours ran up to the three of you.

"Damn, what's going on?" She murmured as she eyed the many news vans and journalists that were lurking around the school grounds.

"You don't know? Casey Becker and Steve Orth were killed Saturday night. We're not just talking killed we're talking splatter movie killed. Ripped open from end to end." Tatum whispered she hoped you wouldn't hear them, but you did. You always did.

"What? No way. Casey Becker? She sits  in front of me in English."

"Not anymore. It's so sad. Her mom and dad found her hanging from a tree with her insides on the outside. They're interrogating the entire school, teachers, students, even janitors."

You sighed. You fastened your pace, your eyes still on the ground as your grip on your backpack strap tightened. You bit the inside of your cheek as you muttered a soft 'Thanks a lot Tate' and left the two girls behind, making your way toward the entrance of the school.

You came in contact with what you assumed was a brick wall, however, when you looked up you realized that it was Billy Loomis whom you had bumped into. You two were friends, good friends. He was the one that made you and Stu become closer as well. Even when Stu dated Casey, you would mostly avoid him. He freaked you out a bit with his careless personality, but when Billy introduced you two you started to like him.

"Where are you off to so fast, doll?"

Billy asked. You mentally rolled your eyes at the nickname. He always called you that, and surprisingly Sidney had no problem with it. She actually thought it was fitting. In no mood for talking, you shrugged and looked into his eyes. You always thought he had beautiful eyes, but now that yours were filled with such hopelessness, his seemed even prettier.
