(24) The walk home

{Your POV}
We walked in silence for a little bit but it wasn't an awkward silence, it felt more like a comfortable silence which was weird because we haven't known eachother for a long time but it felt like we have. As if we sycned our thoughts we looked at eachother at the same time, I let out a chuckle.  "guess we're meant to be?" he chuckled "it seems like we are..." 

There was more comfortable silence until the winds picked up. Holy shit was it really cold now... I forgot to bring my scarf so I was shivering and I think Makki noticed it too because he pulled me closer to him. Or maybe he was just cold? either way I could feel the butterflies erupt in my stomach as I blushed. Eventhough it was dark I could see his blush creeping on his cheeks as well. The wind picked up some more and my hair was flying all over the place, PLEASEEEE CALM YOURSELF, I DON'T WANNA BE LOOKING LIKE A FOOL. I started shivering even more and there was still a few minutes left to walk back home. 

{Makki's POV}
I could feel the strong breeze come in and I glanced at Y/n, she was definitely on the brink of being frozen so I dragged her to a secluded area where the light shined and the wall blocked off the wind. Shielding her in the corner to block her away from the wind, taking off my scarf and wrapping it around her neck. "warm?" I asked and she nodded, I smiled at her flushed face, god she's so cute... 

How can I not hug her when she looks so cute in my scarf. I looked down at her and she looked up at me and in the moment it felt like a kdrama. I couldn't help myself and slowly guided my arms around her waist, pulling her closer to my chest. Maybe she could feel how fast my heart was beating but I couldn't care less, I wanted her in my arms. She laid her head on my chest and I swear my heart was doing somersaults in there, maybe a  few rollercoasters because it was BEATING SO FAST. I was smiling like a doofus as I laid my head on hers "warmer?" "no shit." "heyyyy why the backlash. I was being such a  gentleman~" "okokok very warm... thank you makki" I smiled such a big smile, I bet if people walking by saw me they would think I was crazy.

I pulled away and was now interlocking our hands and putting it in my pocket for extra warmth, we continued walking. "where's your scarf anyways?" I asked skeptically but with a hint of playfulness. "I accidentally left it at home hehe.." "You're so forgetful~ maybe I should just have spare ones in my locker for you~" I could tell she was blushing even more even if it was dark out, I chuckled as she covered her face with the scarf. "I won't forget next time! But an extra one in your locker wouldn't be so bad..." We're both chuckling now, all the way to her house.

Finally reaching the front of her house I stopped at the front door and she unlocked her door. I waved goodbye as she stepped inside and was about to close the door "wait Makki!" I looked at her confused "What's up?". I felt her jump onto me and wrap her arms around my neck, eyes widened I didn't expect and stood there for a few seconds processing before smiling again and wrapping my arms around her, chuckling. "Couldn't keep your hands off me huh?" "oh shut up you''re ruining the moment" I chuckled more but hugged her tighter, her hugs were so warm and soft, I'll never get tired of them. "okk enough squeezing me I need to get home too!" I could feel her arms tightening in retaliation "seriously! I'll get my butt kicked if you don't let go!" "fineee but only because if you die I'll have no one to entertain me" as she let go and walked back inside, leaning on the doorframe. I waved off as I started descending down the stairs and out the building, turning once more "oh! You can keep the scarf  cutie!"
